But that was an entirely different coaching staff. The roster is flawed and CMW and staff are trying to piece things together. Like it or not, he will be our coach next year and the following year like it or not. Your words won’t get him fired this year! -

I like Galloway but the dude can’t make anything outside a floater consistently -

Ding, ding, ding you win the big prize! I am sure there was a discussion before committing from Kopp and for Stewart to return that they would get minutes in the rotation and good, bad or indifferent, the coaching staff doesn’t want to go back on their words. It’s Kopp and Parker who aren’t living up to their end of the deal. -

I guess what comes around goes around. I remember they day when the script was flipped. It’ll turn around for us eventually! When? I have no idea but it better happen soon, the natives are way past being restless! -

It’s obvious that some people on here didn’t approve of the CMW hire in the first place. -

I can’t believe how much blaming the coaches we keep having. The roster is flawed but it’s what CMW had to work with. In the end, players still have to execute and some of them did not, specifically X. Unless you are absolutely scorching the nets or you are the go to guy, you should never lead us in shot attempts. He had 16 shots but only made 3 and he wasn’t even close to hitting most of them. Also, we had too many untimely turnovers late in the 2nd half that just absolutely killed our momentum. Like I said, the players have to execute. -

Why would guy who doesn’t shoot the ball that particularly well and consistent shoot 16 times? He shot more than TJD and was only 3-16 from the field. X killed us! We have to win the next 3 out of 5 to make the tournament, IMO. -

If we have any leaders on this team, you can narrow the possible list down to 7! Which one or two of those 7 are the leader on this years team? I would say 0. Of those 7, which ones will eventually become a leader next year? I would say the best chance is 1. Galloway is the only one of the 7 that didn’t get suspended that sort of demonstrates leadership skills and could emerge as a true leader. -

I had a dream last night about the Wisconsin game. The dream was that we were force feeding TJD in the post our first 10 possessions, our guys on the perimeter just standing in one spot on every position and TJD forcing up a shot and missing everyone of them. After about the 8-10th miss, the fans decided to leave instead of booing and Assembly Hall pretty much emptied out! I sure hope my dream doesn’t come true, lol! -
That’s basically what It is. The article is a little brutal

We can be a program that hires a coach to a program that has had problems and expect him to turn it around in year 1 and if he doesn’t, fire him. You have to let him have at least several recruiting classes to allow him to possibly get the type of player that can and will fit into the type of play that he wants.

Sorry, didn’t mean to double post this! My bad!

This probably belongs here as much as anywhere. The below article talks about the issues and concerns that most everyone has on our lack of offensive efficiency, which should lead to a lineup change. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketballs-offense-plummeting-in-advanced-metrics-at-an-inopportune-time/ https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/ Now it is up to CMW to recognize and make that change. Will he or will he still be too stubborn to make the changes necessary?

Galloway has added a mid-range game too, that’s not a layup. I think Bates will eventually start but he won’t start base off a 1 game performance.

Definition of insanity, I get it. The starting lineup is prime example, but I trust the reasons why. He hasn’t finished his 1st full year yet and there are many questioning his decisions instead of trusting that there is a method to his madness! Let’s let the season play out and then see what happens going into next season. I know he coached in the NBA but I think he still has a lot to learn when it comes to the college game as a head coach
