  1. I agree, Harper and Davis have that killer instinct, something no one on the IU team has. They both are shot makers and potential pros, again nobody on the IU team is ready for. TJD can’t create his own shot and he plays soft around the rim, which is why he rarely gets a 3 point play when he is fouled attempting a shot. Also, he has trouble finishing around the rim and unless he is dunking, his percentage goes way down
  2. I am sure Dolson reached to his A list candidates, I think he had to settle for Woodson because everyone else turned him down
  3. For the life of me, I can’t figure out 2 things: 1) He didn’t put someone along the baseline behind the zone to attack it. Their back line of the 2-3 was extended up towards the free throw line, why we didn’t put someone on the baseline is a head scratcher to me. 2) Why didn’t we put more pressure on the ball when it was inbounded into Harper? We just backed off of him and allowed him to bring it up the court and he stepped right into his shot because Race was backed way off of him. By putting pressure on the ball, you force to use more clock and to possibly give it up or take a more contested shot. I haven’t criticized CMW this year but those two things were head scratchers to me. Thoughts?
  4. I agree, he’s a good coach and yes, we probably overreacted on something that isn’t even a violation now but that is the first time they have been put in that situation and they panic but here we are. It set us back big time. Nonetheless, Sampscum cheated and was told to stop but continued. He was the one who screwed up and the Administration thought they were doing what was right. If you want to be mad or upset at anyone, it should be him for putting the Administration and University in that situation. By the way, they did give him another chance and he got caught doing it again, like I said blame him.
  5. 100% spot on. We had too many 1 dimensional players who we all thought would be better and TJD fed us false hope by saying he was going to improve his deficiencies. Just to prove your statement, Davis for Wisconsin and Harper for Rutgers carry’s the Dagger, just ask IU and Purdue
  6. I agree; however, He still cheated after he was told to stop. Plus there were a lot of players who didn’t go to class and there was drug use
  7. I am trying to figure out why Race didn’t guard him tighter! We should have pressured Harper all the way up the floor. Everyone knew but us that Harper was taking the last shot! Barring a miracle, we are pretty much done. Again, another year not being in the NCAA tournament. Blame that 5 game losing streak!
  8. You are 100% correct. Sampscum cheating like he did put us in a bind and the best we could get is a coach who is now on the hot seat at Georgia, a football school. Archie was a big let down and nobody but Woodson was really interested. So here we are.
  9. Big, big game tomorrow night!!! I will absolutely have to say tomorrow nights game against Rutgers is the biggest game IU will play so far this season, probably the biggest game in several years! We have to bring it tomorrow night and match Rutgers intensity and effort! GO HOOSIERS!!!
  10. I really don’t see Race transferring! I either see him staying and developing his game 1 more year under Woodson or he will play somewhere professionally. I can actually see the later more so than him transferring
  11. I didn’t know that about Stewart. If anyone leaves after the season, I would say Stewart would.
  12. But that is the way CMW left it. There won’t be any decisions until after the season. I still think Race will come back.
  13. Shy, doesn’t like speaking in front of 17,000 fans, or he could be coming back. Who knows, but we won’t know anything until after the season.
  14. Sounds like you are still reading into something that hasn’t been decided one way or the other. In what Woodson said, Race and Parker hasn’t made any decisions on staying or leaving. And I didn’t see or read anything about Lander. I think they waiting until after the season.
  15. The biggest game for IU in along time! There is a lot on the line for both teams. I know Rutgers will play hard, I just hope we match them! GO HOOSIERS!!!
  16. Well that’s not drinking! Sounds like a plan!
  17. Sounds like a plan! I right there with you!
  18. Yes, he’s not played like a preseason All-American IMO. To me, he’s played more of a role not the lead. If this was last year, we would be talking about a 7 game losing streak but this team has discovered other options. I agree, at some point in time it has to start being on the players to improve and if Trayce is working on his game going right, hitting mid range jumpers and working on free throws I sure as heck don’t see translate to his game.
  19. He’s gotten better in some areas but down the stretch he seems to have reverted back to going strictly left down the stretch. Earlier in the year he was going right but wasn’t shooting with his right. Earlier in the year he was taking a few outside shots but totally abandoned it in early December. He is a much better passer out of the post than he used to be too! Yes I think he has benefited but his draft stock probably has not. I don’t know if he were to stay one more year if he could raise his draft stock.
  20. A little but I think this has happened too many times against this team. I still think they lost their focus again and allowed Minnesota to start getting very open looks that they finally started making and then allowed them to gain their confidence. When is this team ever going to learn when you step on an opposing teams neck and let up, keep the pressure on until it snaps! They call that the killer instinct, which we don’t have. On another frustrating note, TJD is becoming more and more predictable to guard because he only wants to go left!
  21. My bad, the Wisconsin game! I was so fired up and mad after tonight’s game, I got mixed up which roller coaster game it was. Even though we won tonight, I was so ticked off after that game. It didn’t seem we learned anything from the Wisconsin loss. This team can’t afford to let up and lose their focus in any game no matter how big a lead they have
