Any fair comparison of Miller and Woodson has to somehow compensate for NIL. Where would Woody be w/o IU's warchest? His HS recruiting has been a mess. He is an absolutely abysmal long-term recruiter (i.e. developing relationships with HS players and then closing the deal). If he couldn't just write a check for team of transfers, how in the world would he even have a roster? And don't think of me as an Archie "defender." He was horrible. I just think w/o an NIL war chest, Woody is worse.

This is by far the most likely scenario with May. He turns the open IU job into a raise and extension.

I think Dusty May wins the press conference more than Beard. But I think Beard wins more games. And titles.

May picked much better transfers than Woodson. They have such better basketball skills than the guys IU picked. IU's leftovers were much better.

Always wondered why Leal didn't get more run during his time in B'town. Whenever he came in, he was solid. Never spectactular, but made the team better.

The difference between the coaches was illustrated when Dusty took the timeout to set his defense at the end of the 1st half. Michigan just completely smothered IU at the end of the half, and IU got off a horrible shot.

Uh Woodson was still the coach. He still had to coach the talent from the portal. If anyone would realize that, it is another coach. That being said, I am skeptical of May leaving Michigan after one year.

And that's why it is so painful to have such a horrible coach on the sidelines right now. What the program could be vs what it is right now.

When he continued rolling out Reneau in the starting lineup after he came back from injury with Goode finally shooting better, I honestly couldn't believe it. But then, I thought, "It's Woody. Of course he did..." LOL

I would guess if she does come on, she'll say that Woody retired, so he didn't really get "fired during the season." So the process was still followed. LOL
