  1. Including Crean's last year, we've had 9 pretty bad years of basketball in a row now. It's really bad when you start thinking about it...
  2. Who's that guy with the long hair?
  3. If only we could have raised a few more million for 2 more McDonald's AAs, then he really could've achieved something, but he did as much as he could with what he had...LOL
  4. Well, not making any kind of solid announcement (or even subtley sending word through one of their preferred media outlets) is an ...uh...interesting decision on the part of Dolson.
  5. I have the same thought. I can't imagine Dusty leaving MICHIGAN for IU after just one year. As much as I love IU, and as great of a job as it is, I just can't see that. You don't take a high-level B1G job and then leave it after year 1.
  6. No need for The King to leave the office for that.
  7. Only if it's part of the process and if he can remain unemotional...
  8. Anyone sending racist or threatening messages to a coach is an absolute incel idiot. That being said, show me a losing coach at a major athletic program anywhere that doesnt get wingnut messages of a threatening nature from lunatic fans? It comes with the job.
  9. I can't imagine in my wildest dreams that Woodson is going to do that today. I would think that would be at the bottom of his list. But I've certainly been wrong before.
  10. Woodson is former Hoosier great who was basically a hero for how he came back from an injury and won B1G MVP. The public was willing to give him every single benefit of the doubt, but he's been so incredibly thin-skinned and arrogant. He's wasted every bit of good-will available to him. Let's face it, Woody has not shown himself to be any sort of genius through his whole coaching tenure. Great athleticism does not equal intelligence. I'm absolutely not saying that the dumb jock stereotype is true in most cases. In Woody's case, though, I'm wondering. It's either that or he's just really lazy...
  11. Right? I mean, I HOPE that Woody has already been trying as hard as he possibly could to win games. LOL
  12. Splitting hairs here, but it's easy to play devil's advocate with Few: 1.) He's older. I know that was ok with Cig, but that limits the time he'd be here and you do wonder about energy levels at a new job. 2.) He's a very introverted guy. IU had that with Miller and it was a problem. That really laid back personality might work much better at a smaller smaller school in a much smaller conference. 3.) He has gotten to a lot of Sweet 16s, the question is how much of a that is from building a great record in a less stellar conference? Gonzaga has gotten a lot of really high seeds from good records in a less difficult conference. High seeds make that first weekend of the tournament a lot easier. 4.) There was that DUI. 5.) Did losing Lloyd as his lead recruiter hurt his recruiting? Wasnt he Few's pipeline to Euros that had created so much of his success? Will he still experience the same level of success w/o them? Just throwing that all out there...
  13. While we're waiting on the official word on Woodson, it's nice to see some national writers admitting that IU is a great program just waiting for the right coach. And also, that it just can't seem to get out of its own way... https://www.si.com/college-basketball/as-mike-woodsons-tenure-ends-time-for-indiana-to-reboot-and-rise-again
  14. Do you really think Mike Woodson has any idea what Lyft is? LOL
  15. Come on, Michael Dean Woodson. We're rooting you on, now! LOL
  16. I think flipping current recruits (or bringing players with them into the portal) is of zero importance. This is about coaching accumen and culture and program building. If the right guy is brought in, he will use IU's NIL money to choose the right players and then develop relationships with HS players (unlike Woodson on both accounts) to get the right players into his system. If IU doesn't finish top 3 in the B1G in this first year, who cares? If he shows progress, the fan base will be thrilled...
  17. Well, I had as much experience on the college level as Mike Woodson had when he was hired for the IU job. That's what made it such a bad hire...LOL
  18. This is not giving me confidence that the coaching replacement will be handled well. Woodson's exit seems to be handled really poorly. They didn't get ahead of the media well at all..
  19. This is the most Indiana thing ever...
  20. Wouldn't that be IU's dumb luck to get Hurley after he won all of his national titles when he started to really meltdown? Not necessarily saying that's the case, but it very well could be given how he acts. We'd miss all of the winning, but we would get the craziness. That would be our luck...
