  1. Getting those "two technicals" is the first sign that Woodson was anything like RMK. LOL Too little...too late...
  2. Come on announcment! I want a reason to break open a new bottle of this...
  3. If this story is true, then Woodson would be going out exactly the way that I would've expected. A perfect ending to his coaching tenure.
  4. Who wants to bet that she'll claim that he had a health issue? LOL
  5. Well, he had the requisite hot partner, so...
  6. Anywhere between 12 and 16, depending on who you ask...
  7. We all knew Woodson was going to have to be fired or forcibly "retired." Dude has no self awareness. I'm sure this was him at the meeting with Dolson:
  8. On the other hand, if IU is really interested in May, maybe you DON'T want to announce before Saturday. Announcing officially that the position is open before May comes to play in Bloomington is going to make things much more difficult for Dusty, as he will spend every pregame interview having to talk about the open IU position.
  9. Dammit! I pay good money for information on this site.
  10. Maybe, but not sure this makes sense for Stevens. I don't think QB or Ferguson would really have the juice to get in the way of Brad Stevens if he actually wanted to come to IU. Now that makes sense to give Dolson more freedom to bring in other candidates, though. Especially lesser ones...
  11. USPS in here laying down the law.
  12. Here comes another postgame loss explanation by the King:
  13. I coached my son's 5th grade church league basketball team better than Woodson coaches this team. And I'm pretty sure I sucked as a coach, so...
  14. Yeah, showed my age with that one...LOL
  15. By the way things are going, this guy will probably have another year of eligibility. And it seemed like he was 105 when he graduated...
  16. Come on now. The mods HAVE to be hiring some trolls to keep the engagement up in this forum. LOL NGW (or whoever it was last Spring), Tyme, Cathy, etc... This is just straight-up trolling at this point. Ok, carry on...
  17. This is such a wild take. In the age of the transfer portal and NIL, this has never been less true. And with IU's resources, the roster can be flipped so fast. I mean, Woody nearly flipped the roster last season. He can't coach, but he nearly flipped it out of necessity because he hasn't been doing any long-term recruiting. I have no idea what you're talking about here...
  18. This is the answer. To me, I'm not really that concerned about hiring Stevens. If they get him that's great, but unoike many, there's a part of me that's concerned that he hasnt coached college ball in a decade and hasn't coached any basketball at all in a while. I get that he was considered some kind of coaching savant, but still, that's a LONG TIME to be out of college coaching. If IU can get a good college coach who will be around for a while. Someone who is organized (unlike Crean) and has energy (unlike Archie and Woodson) and develops a great relationship with high school recruits (Woodson) and Indiana high school coaches (Crean), then I don't think people are going to be that hard on the Administration. I think people were hard on the IU admin (rightly so) last time around because they swung for Stevens and then settled for Woodson (WTF?). Everyone realized that they went from Plan A all the way to Plan ZZZ...
  19. It's to make a lot of money for 5 years. It's a VERY solid 5-year financial plan...
  20. Yep. I think this is the little danger in the back of everyone's mind. There is still some talent on this roster. If it suddenly gots hot, who knows what could conceivably happen. Plus, I'm not convinced that the B1G is full of world beaters. Every team is emminently beatable this year. Stranger things have happened...
  21. Well, kings DO get to choose their successor, so...LOL
  22. Pretty much any coach would be a massive upgrade at this point. It's pretty amazing that IU truly has one of the worst coaches in major college basketball. They literally just bought a roster this year for a guy who can't seem to coach or manage it. I'm not so sure that this isn't more rock bottom for the program than when the program imploded after Sampson. I mean, the program is obviously in better shape for the next coach, but there's no doubt that Woodson is the worst actual coach of any post-RMK.
