Yep. I could see Woodson's defenders try to use some wingnut's actions try to shut down any dissenters. It won't work, but I could see them take this course of action. But, this is exactly the kind of thing that people on this board have alluded to - things are going to get worse if they allow Woodson to keep coaching and he keeps showing his basic incompetence. I want to emphasize that I think it's absolutely wrong that any fans step over the line and make threats. But, the fans are absolutely frustrated and letting him continue to coach is going to increase frustration. This is on IU...

It's almost like Cathy stays silent on the board and waits until nothing happens and then swoops in AFTER the fact and says, "See...I was right!" Hmmmm.... If there had been any movement on Woody before the Maryland game, there is ZERO CHANCE we would've seen Cathy anywhere near this board. It's kind of how these self-proclaimed "experts" ... err... trolls work. LOL And, of course @ap2345. The process can't start for 6 weeks. Takes a long time to get the train rollin'. I mean, we've got to wait until after the season is complete to conduct the full "evaluation" first. LOL I always appreciate people like Chris007, JerryY and ap2345. You always show up whether the info you hear turns out to actually happen or not. We appreciate the tidbits that you pass along.

Agreed. Dolson is going nowhere. He seemed to fix football, which will could conceivably be the most valuable asset of the athletic department. I do, however, disagree with some who seem to completely let him off the hook for the Woodson hiring. On paper it was one of the worst major college basketball coaching selection of the last few decades - up there with Penny Hardaway too, maybe. All of the claims that Dolson was somehow forced into by boosters or QB dont entirely get him off the hook.

A smart game with a tiny bit of risk. There's always the danger of a roster with some talent finally putting it together, albeit on their own.

Agree. It looked like a move one would make with their 80 year old grandpa. Helping to gently guide him in the right direction because he was a little demented. This game was almost worse for a few reasons than the beatdown by the illini, and other than the obvious coaching incompetence, that was one.

Are we sure that the guy coaching is the actual Mike Woodson. The prearranged answers and bad coaching is making me think it might be some kind of AI experiment gone awry. Anyone who has watched Woodson's teams realizes this. There's a reason that so many guards have amazing games against IU. It's like a game of H-O-R-S-E when they play against the Hoosiers, because they get so many wide open shots. The games IU wins typically occur because those guards just miss those wide open looks. It doesn't mean that IU's defense was necessarily great - it just means that the other team didn't shoot well. But they still got good looks...
