  1. Got my attention! Scoop or just a feeling????
  2. I’m a BIG YES on getting Moye involved (shocker). He currently works with a lot of aspiring NBA talent on skill development. A completely underrated aspect to all of this working (though Dolson did mention it in his original presser). It’s a huge part of what makes Nate Oats successful. Working a ton on individual skills in practice (not just coaching X’s and O’s) so that when the floor is spread and you find that favorable matchup players can use that skill to beat their man and get to the basket for an easy two. Many AAU coaches get this. It was a shocker that Archie didn’t.
  3. Is that a Ford!!! We were tracking the wrong black SUV all week!!!!
  4. It’s been an hour and we’re already comparing Mike Woodson to God??? Lol
  5. Looks to me like the coach in waiting is Thad Matta as he (hopefully) returns to better health. In 7 years when Woodson retires, Matta will be younger than Woodson is right now by 3 years! I’m being serious btw.
  6. Sorry has the bring this over from the other thread ..... So the NBA offense plus IU ties plus “clean hands” rules the day. Extremely curious to see how this works. Knicks fans are sad to see him leave. They love the guy (not that that means anything). If Muss can flame out of the NBA and find success in college maybe Woodson can. Without breaking down their individual teams we’re talking a 43% NBA winning percentage (Muss) vs. a 46% NBA winning percentage (Woodson). The great news is we’ll find out about his ability to recruit IMMEDIATELY with the transfer portal. While the farthest thing from the splash I was hoping for, I’m cautiously optimistic. It has worked for Muss and all his used car salesman antics. Why can’t it work for Woodson???
  7. This is organization building 101 — like it

Agreed. Only caveat is if he decides running a “clean at all costs” program supersedes the NBA style offense. In which case it’s Moser.

And honestly we should all be ecstatic about this —— IMO

Yes. I’d go after Oats with whatever the offer was to Stevens. MAKE HIM SAY NO. The personality. The style of play. Lock him up right now with a big deal before he ends up in the NBA and never looks back. Said it before. I’d be even more excited about him then Stevens right now. I want to believe this is possible!!!

You make additional good points, Southside and I agree and personally wouldn’t mind operating in the gray (truthfully all these kids should be getting paid anyway — just my opinion and respect others seeing it differently). You mention Knight’s discipline and I think it’s been clear OFF THE COURT DISCIPLINE has been sorely lacking largely since Knight’s departure. We all have our stories — whether it’s girls or parties, etc. Not saying every player who has come through in the last 20 years is guilty. Far from it. And I don’t blame the players. They are kids wanting to enjoy their college experience. Just saying we need a coach who can not only get these guys to play tough D and make open shots, we also need a coach who can keep these “campus rockstars” focused on basketball. Not an easy task in Bloomington, IN.

Seeing a lot of tweets about Sampson and realize it’s a hot button as many of us are on different sides of the “we need to be more flexible breaking the rules” argument. Sore subject but just want everyone to be clear as to why the administration(s) have been so adamant about being sqeaky clean (and yes I do believe that will continue to be a factor in our next hire). So why is the admin so adamant? Drumroll ....... Robert Montgomery Knight. That is the absolute irony in all of this. Bobby put this program on his back and built it into a National power. A true blue blood by anyone’s measure throughout his tenure. BUT, his antics ultimately lead to his dismissal and put the administration on a course where they were terrified to ever subject themselves or the university to those types of public relations nightmares ever again. And 20 years later, here we are. The administration doesn’t have to worry about physical, emotional, etc. abuse allegations or “illegal texts” ..... but they do have to worry about a bad basketball team. “Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.” —— I guess Newton was right. Does he coach basketball???

Is this the latest theory Feathery?? If so, I could absolutely believe it. Also explains why Archie has been radio silent since his exit — he is ticked!!! (Of course he‘s ticked anyway)
