  1. Quite obviously. I appreciate him taking time out of his valuable day to tweet about it, nonetheless.
  2. That’s an insane way of looking at it…lol. I’m guessing Tabjohns is counting on his readers being that gullible, though. As I said in my reply earlier, I can see trying to smooth that out over 3-5 yrs to sort of “amortize” the buyout number. That would be more accurate. But you can’t just throw out actual expenses because you don’t like them. At this point you can’t even claim they are “one time expenses” because if you go backwards you’ll find Devries buyout, Woodys’, both of Archie’s and Creans all over about a decade. To that point though, if you look at other programs over a 3-5yr period you’d have to factor in Popes buyout for UK or Sean Millers for UT. Or like I suggested, Rabjohns could’ve just asked for a yearly average from whomever asked him to put out the tweet.
  3. I suppose it would’ve been too much to ask Rabjohns to do actual reporting and relay a yearly average to us.
  4. At least Lamar and Sam set some records while they were here
  5. I’m in the same boat. But assuming this rumor is true the problem would be two-fold. 1) He’s one of our very few returning “building blocks.” The type of player that’s supposed to make it easier to build rosters going forward. 2) If we’re just ok again and Michigan is good while Dusty coaxes out some pretty good production from Sisley, DDV is going to find most of his new hire goodwill used up. Luckily, this is likely just a rumor and most of the guys that transfer out of here stink at other places too.
  6. He’d make a great advisor to a coach trying to learn the ins & outs of B1G basketball. (I’ll see myself out…)
  7. Pretty much this. Pro leagues are governed by the league office and CBA. Things are defined, including penalties for breaking those rules. Reason #567890 the B1G and SEC should disband the NCAA and set up their own thing.
  8. Yea, I figured that was the case because it always is with this type of thing. I’d like to see it spread over 5 years to try and normalize it a bit, but otherwise there isn’t much of a way to get better numbers than FOI’ing them all. Maybe Woodys buyout is in there or something for this past revenue year? That’s why I just said top 5. Or even make it top 10. At the very least if I’m some of the other non revenue sports, or more importantly a donor that cares about them, you have to cringe at the amount we currently spend on basketball.
  9. CBR shows him redshirting and then playing 4 years. how does he have eligibility?
  10. I’m just assume this guy hates IU fans releasing this info today. Those would obviously be last years numbers, but really quite ridiculous on IU’s part. Even if you want to say Duke and BYU are not here and would be ahead of us, our AD is making a top 5 in the country spend on this program. My guess is that with the attention on football this number comes down and probably deservedly so.
  11. Didn’t seem to stop other schools or coaches. But I think that’s a good excuse for IU fans to hold on to. Just don’t use it around any Louisville fans. They thought they were hiring Dusty May. Set up a press conference and everything only to have to cancel it and scramble to get Kelsey at the last minute. Lol…
  12. https://tsutigers.com/news/2025/9/15/mens-basketball-nolan-smith-finalizes-his-inaugural-coaching-staff.aspx Sept 15th 2025 for Nolan Smith. You can catch his Tenn St Tigers next week in the NCAA tournament.
  13. Also, if we can win a couple more we can make this number a little more respectable.
  14. I mean nobody will be talking about it on ESPN or sports talk radio like they did with ND. First off, the guys are being paid now. If there’s basketball to play, they should play it. It’s what they’re paid for. If you want to let the seniors off the hook then play the returning 5 and walk-ons. The notion that Ristic, Sisley, Dorn, and Miles couldn’t benefit from more basketball is simply false. I’d think a couple seniors might like to play to continue to audition for Europe. Finally we have coaching staff that quite literally admitted to not being prepared for the season. I know they can use the extra practice. IU can’t even make the NCAA tournament every other year. They’re not above anything. Embrace the grind.
  15. It’s literally the exact same thing…lol. I’d say we’d catch some **** for this but the truth is IU basketball isn’t anywhere near as relevant as ND football. Nobody will care.
  16. Yea but they had unfair advantages
  17. Literally beat crappy NW one time is all it would’ve taken
  18. Last year’s SEC was brutal and going 8-10 in that league was likely getting them in no matter what. Both 6-12 SEC teams got in the tourney. I’m with Pagoda in that IUs schedule is pretty appropriate. We actually gamed our metrics really well with the schedule and margin of victory early in the season. So much so that both major predictive rankings thought we were a lot better than we were. As far as building on this year…I suspect that’s the part IU will struggle with.
  19. Sounds like more nonsense from Rabjohns. IU isn’t building a FF level team next year. Expectations are so low he merely needs to clear the ultra low bar of making the tournament to keep the wolves at bay. If he can put together an extra scrappy team like UVA or Vanderbilt to makes some noise in the conference or regular tournaments people will go nuts. I don’t think the fanbase is expecting much. At least not the people I talk to.
  20. I have the same concern. With roughly 5 games to go we were something like 85% likely to make the tourney. The offense got worse and the defense fell off. Virginia, Vanderbilt, and Wisconsin are all playing their best ball at the end of the year. That’s not historic blue bloods either. Just average schools. The last game with Northwestern with tournament hopes on the line was an embarrassment. Let’s hope he’s a Golden/Underwood type with a steep learning curve
  21. All guys that stay with their coach/program take a nice discount. Luckily our new GM understands that and referenced that. But I agree with you about Iowa. I don’t see them as some rising power. I out them up there with Wisconsin as short on resources. I just wouldn’t be shocked if one of the top portal guards wanted to go there and become the “next Stirtz” the way QBs go to Cig.
  22. Just fire the coach now if that’s what you need to make the tourney. Illinois has 1 first team guy and not much else. Wisconsin has a 2nd and 3rd team guy and that’s it. PU a first and third. Michigan is the exception. Most teams are lucky to have two guys on one of the three teams.
  23. Talked to some Purdue people that more or less know some things, and the feeling was that for that senior crew once they couldn’t win the B1G they went into coast mode. I don’t love that mentality, but seeing them in the BTT this week and I can kind of see it. Re Stirtz and McCollum, why wouldn’t he be able to use that to recruit other elite PG’s and combo guards? He brought him from D2 nobody to first round NBA draft pick. Similar to how bigs wanted to play for Woody.
  24. Ended his career as a part time starter at WKU. Woody was right about “little “ Khristian
  25. Dumb take. Don’t listen to this idiot.
