  1. Couldn't agree more. In fact, I posted right after the game ended that Fife needs to run a block out drill for these guys. And beat it into their heads. 20 offensive rebounds for the opponent is more than embarrasing, even with bad bounces from bricks being shot. But if LL got 10 more baskets from those 20 offensive rebounds, it's a different game. Woody will get the TO's resolved. Played a lot of 2nd unit guys a lot of minutes, without starters in there to calm them down.
  2. Fife needs to start teaching our guys how to block out before going for the rebound. We're slipping big time in rebounding.
  3. Yeah, but when the brick hits the backboard and kareens out to the foul line, it's a little tough for our bigs under the basket to get the rebound. But we do need more than 2 guys trying to rebound.
  4. Once the volley ball game is over, they will no doubt want interviews with the coaches, postgame, and then 10 minutes of commercials.
  5. Seems like they should move the volleyball over to Fox Sports app, and televise the IU game on BTN. But that would make too much sense.
  6. Just tuned into the St John's game at home. There are more cheerleaders than there are fans...
  7. Credit to Scott Dolson.
  8. I'd be happy (elated actually) if only the first two things happend
  9. I was always taught that you beat the press with passing, not dribbling. Sure worked before Rob played in the St Johns game
  10. Bet he plays in 4 weeks or sooner. (wishful thinking) He didn't act like it was broken. Hopefully, it's only a small fracture and not a break.
  11. Just an aside... In the 1st half (17:30 mark) when Race stole a pass and went uncontested in for a dunk at our end, he took not 3, not 4, but 5 steps without a dibble. I watched it 3 times to make sure. At some point the refs have to start calling a travel on these guys. 99% of the break-aways are 3+ steps before the dunk/layup
  12. That's pretty astute, even for a bunch of New Yorkers....
  13. Boooooooooooooooo!!! (lol. Just kidding) But fat lady hasn't sung yet, and she's not even humming....
  14. I've watched the game 2 more times today, and reviewed the box score as well. A few things jumped out at me. We only had 12 assists on 36 baskets. That's below average in my book. Had 16 turnovers. Unacceptable, even with the pressure. Very few block outs. More rebounding by "zone" rather than blocking out. Only shot 33% from 3, 53% from FT line. We only set 3 screens in the first half, and 3 in the 2nd. Hardly a receipe to get good, open looks. And we didn't, especially in the 2nd half. I counted 5 really bad shots that we took. Not bad, but certainly didn't help, especially when it was close. Defense wasn't that bad in the 2nd half. The offense got lazy. Wasn't near as intense. Thank God for Geronimo's energy in the 2nd half. Got us going again. Lots of room for improvement, but glad we won. (And kudo's for Lander. Did a good job coming in cold)
  15. 16 turnovers didn't help us either. Didn't think it was that money, but box score says otherwise
  16. 5 rebounds, 7 pts in 8 minutes
  17. Enjoy the win fellas! You can ***** about plays/players later.
  18. Not so sure. He looked pretty good and nobody stopped him
  19. Sorry, I meant 0-3 from 3. Guess it was only 2 attempts from 3
  20. I haven't seen a bunch of screens on offense yet. Might help our inside game a little more. Taking too many 3's from players unproven to this point. Tamar is 0-3?
  21. And all 20 ways were obvious before he mentioned the 1st one. He's the poster boy for Capt Obvious
