  1. REvision....logic has set in finally. IU 69 NE 65
  2. Tuned into last minute or so of TX A&M vs Missou. 2 pt game and I bet there are less than 3000 fans in the MO stands. Really sad.
  3. Not unpopular with me at all...
  4. Oops...you're right. I had him down for 2 shots in the OSU game (he didn't take). But I'll take 40% any day, even if it's only 5 shots. Certainly better than Race's 3 pt %.
  5. I saw a significantly different shot form from him since he's been back from the injury. Went back and looked at OSU, MN, & IA box scores and he's shooting 43% from deep. If he can keep that up, that will exceed my expectations. And I think he's making better shot selections from deep too. He'll always be a "get to the basket" kind of player, but if he can shoot 40%+ from deep it makes him a threat that defenses have to respect
  6. I'll admit that I'm one fan with little, if any, patience. I thought Woody's approach would resonate with the guys, we'd get a bunch of intensity back and play "Indiana smart" basketball. But from my viewpoint, while the defense had been much better overall for the season, with a few obvious lapses, the offense isn't even close to being efficient IMO. We appear to play at ½ speed, settle on questionable shots too many times, and when TJD gets the ball, we stand around and watch him (not totally, but far too much). The only guy I can see willing to put it all on the line, and do the dirty work, is Galloway. X could be the junk yard dog, but he's way too emotional on calls against him, and loses focus. If Woody would start putting more time and effort on developing the offense, instead of "go down and have fun on offense" I think we could really grow into something pretty good. There are times I see our offense run plays that look exactly like those that Archie installed. If we don't start winning on the road, we won't have a shot at the tourney, much less make a run in it.
  7. Really interesting game. Results might "temper" some of our comments on here (including mine). Thanx for doing this. Seems like a ton of work on your part. Appreciate it ! Starters: TJD: 32 minutes Race: 30 minutes Galloway: 30 minutes (plays point guard) Leal: 30 minutes Stewart: 20 minutes Subs: Kopp for Stewart 10 minutes Bates for TJD: 8 minutes Geronimo for Race: 10 minutes Phin for Leal: 10 minutes X for Galloway: 10 minutes Parameters: Up tempo pace 35% press, 65% M2M Race & Trayce are never out of the game at the same time. Phin & X are never in the game at same time. Use defaults for fouls, inside/outside same. Let me know if I missed anything.
  8. For all you guys who jump all over my a$$ when I said Geronimo didn't play well while he was in, go look at the replay. 10:38 first half. Throws it away, directly leads to 3 pt basket by our favorite Hawkeye (Bohanon) 9:40 first half. Falls asleep in the lane and gets beat on a cut by Murray. Gave up 5 pts in about a minute. I'd yank him if I was coach too. There was plenty of blame to go around on this game. No energy from anybody other than Galloway. (who is 43% from 3 since he's come back from injury. I think his shot HAS improved) But I was making an observation on one player during the game, and Mr Tapatalk goes Bat**** when I make a light hearted comment that my observation was different than his. That's OK. We can all disagree, but I just thought some of you over reacted without having the facts. OK....rant done. Next.
  9. Based on our lack of real hustle.... Huskers 68 IU 64
  10. Haven't looked at the box score, but if memory serves, we've only hit 4(?) threes in the first half? 2 by Kopp, 1 Galloway, 1 Geronimo. Scoring 48 with only a few threes is pretty good offense. Rebounding is pretty good too.
  11. First time I've ever heard anybody defending their app this way. LOL. Ok...I think you were wrong. I was just trying to be light hearted about it. Jeez....
  12. Sorry but your "Tapatalk" is wrong. Geronimo was horrible on defense. Got beat several times. Yes, he hit a 3, but probably gave up 6-8 pts on defense.
  13. Galloway for point guard when X isn't in. And maybe even when X IS IN...
  14. My 72-68 projection was for the first half....
  15. I think this game is going to come down to 50/50 balls, who hustles the most, and can Trayce get his. I sure wish Galloway would start and help us get off to a fast start. Know that won't happen, but I can still wish... If we start out slow, it will be a long game trying to catch up. I also look for us to get into foul trouble with the home town calls. But our depth should help offset that a little I would think
  16. I think Kenya leaves ONLY if he gets a "good" HC job. And while I respect your opinion a lot, I'm not sure X and Parker would be automatic departures, even if Kenya goes. They only have 1 year left to play. I think one or both would stick around. Just my 2¢
  17. Its at home. I think we pull it off. IU 73 PUke 69
  18. IF TJD leaves, the "hole" he will create can be filled a number of ways. Doesn't have to be another All American at that position. Doesn't even have to be all B1G, as long as you create an offense to score, and a defense that can protect the rim. I fully wish that Galloway would start, and with a few exceptions bring the ball up the court. We'd get a lot more transition baskets, get into our offense with more than 15 sec left on the shot clock, blah, blah, blah. CMW has enough experience to develop more than one game plan . His recruits are far more talented than some of our current guys, and if they buy in...we'll be just fine.
  19. Wouldn't this be a hoot to see on the court? Credit to Ryan Cotter
  20. I've noticed Dane is really involved with coaching during the games. Much more so that Kenya or Ya.
  21. Someone will ***** about 50% from 3 from him
  22. They are shooting lights out. Can't keep that up for the whole game. Tends to even out. We're in good shape
  23. To my great disappointment, same starting line up today
