  1. Hoosiers 76 Numb Nuts 62 (numb from the cold up there) (used to live in MN. Went to a few games in the "Barn" as it's called. Worst venue in basketball at ANY level. ½ the seats are restricted viewing, the whole thing is bleachers, and they only know one cheer: "Mmmmmmmsota!")
  2. I just finished watching the game for the 3rd time, and kept my eyes on P Stew & Kopp. And then watched Galloway take everybody to school on what hustle can do for you. If you watch the speed of Stewart's and Kopp's cuts on offense, it's less than ½ the speed of Galloway's cuts (and Leal too, when he plays) If you are objective in watching Galloway vs Kopp or Stewart, or even X for that matter, Galloway is a better overall player. He can't shoot as well as Parker, but probably not far behind Kopp, but more than makes up for that deficientcy with defense and offensive hustle. Galloway had a team high 4 assists in only 19 minutes against OSU. And his defense was every bit as good (and IMO much better) than Stewart of Kopp's. And he had the 3rd best point total for the game as well. And that's after being on the sidelines for 5-6 weeks. If any body needs more minutes, it's Trey.
  3. You're right. But I didn't say he had to replace Kopp or Stewart. I was thinking more about X. But if that isn't an option, then my 2nd choice would be Kopp. TG plays much better defense, and Kopp hasn't been all that great this season from deep. He's what? 33-34%? A missed three usually has a long rebound and almost feels like a turnover. I'll take Galloway's hustle over Kopp's shooting all season long. Because I think Trey makes the team much better. But that's just me.
  4. Drove up to the OSU game from SC to see it "live", rather than on the tube. In the stands I didn't think we played all that well, especially on offense. Defense was good. We still don't set screens on offense at all. I bet we didn't set more than 2-3 all night. Just got back home to watch the replay on TV, and we looked much better on TV than I thought we did when I was in the stands. Still can't hit a 3 ball. Only 13% from deep for the game. Horrible, esp at home. If Galloway doesn't start, I might have to drive back to Bloomington and slap some sense into Woody. Trey was great. Really great. All the little things that don't show up in the box score and makes your team better....like hustle. Good win guys!
  5. I drove up to attend the game with a buddy. My one game for the year. No doubt in my mind that Trey was the MVP of the game. Wasn't even close for anybody else. Yeah...TJD scored a lot (27 I think) but many were dunks from great passes from TG and others. If the rest of the team would play with ½ the hussle of Galloway, I think we'd be a much better team. He makes things happen. And he doesn't waste 10 seconds off the clock getting the ball up court.
  6. Does that include X shooting 11 three's? With no one under the basket to rebound?
  7. I honestly can't remember seeing us set one good screen in the 1st half, that led to a shot
  8. 2nd unit played with more "urgency" than the 1st unit. but neither could score worth a hoot. Bates tries to do too much.
  9. IU 68 Middle of friggin' Nowhere PSU 64
  10. Leal had 5 assists, and only 1 turnover...ran out the clock at the end of the game. I'm liking this kid...a lot!
  11. Only 8 assists on 14 buckets. Not great, not horrible. Should be a little better. Shooting 43% from deep is good. Means we're not forcing them.
  12. That was as much as X not being ready for the pass as Leal's fault.
  13. Butch Beard(?) 7' Ex Wisky guy, who isn't too bad, and some guy I've never heard of.
  14. PSU has just cancelled their last 2 games due to covid. Seems to point to a problem with PSU, not the opponents since they are different. Makes me wonder if we'll have to forfeit that game based on current rules. (rumor is B1G may change rules)
  15. TJD made a comment earlier in the week that Trey might be in better shape now, than he was before he got hurt. Is concentrating on conditioning almost exclusively.
  16. Wow !!! Woody is starting Leal over Stewart.
  17. Just read an article on TDH and supposedly NK has a pretty good knack for turning an opponent over. Something like 22% of the time. Sounds like a pressure D all the time. Guess we'll see how well we can take care of the ball. NK can put up decent scores...70's-80's on occassion. Also lost a couple of games where they only scored in the 50's. Should be an easy game, but for some reason, they never are. They'll probably put 85 on us knowing our luck. Hope Woody isn't afraid to bench guys that turn it over.
  18. What can you possibly learn as a team from a game like that? How (not) to schedule? I realize that getting games at the last minute if Covid affected the schedule have an impact, and you want your guys to play against someone other than teammates, but jeeze...
  19. This team is a work in progress. We're no where near where Woody wants us, and he's said so many times. The good news (to me) is that I see progress in each and every game. Once we play a full 40 minutes, we'll be tough to beat, assuming Woody gets them to improve a little each week. Rome wasn't built in a day (credit to TJD)
  20. Glad my mute button works !!
