  1. I'm curious what exactly people think Buckner will do to keep Woodson. He'll be at about 3 months left in his term when the season is over. If Dolson wants Woodson gone and has the support of Whitten what is Buckner going to do? Please be specific. Realize, that worst case they wait until Buckner is gone and can Woodson in the middle of the summer. Woodson won't get another year.
  2. Yes, if by this year you mean 2025. The doom and gloom bunch like to think he'll get another term or will still have power as a lame duck.
  3. Here's the complete list of players I'll miss next year if they transfer:
  4. The cutoff date is Dec 28th. I believe it's a case of whichever is later. So players with a bowl game within 4 days of the 28th or after the 28th get 4 days from their bowl game. Everyone else gets until the 28th.
  5. The only one I've seen was Warglebargle or whatever his name was who committed to Kentucky.
  6. Woodson isn't great at recruiting. He's okay at throwing stacks of money at transfers without thought of making a cohesive team.
  7. I disagree. 85 punters probably wouldn't make a very competitive team.
  8. Ball State. Not a big time recruit but if the staff wants him, so I'll be glad if he commits. Did he sign with BSU? 3* on 247. 6-3 so good height. https://247sports.com/player/jacob-bell-46143253/
  9. I'm pleased with the lack of IU portal entries after the end of the season. So far only Green and Jackson, who were recruited over. That's good for continuity and shows that most of the team has bought in and are happy.
  10. I think that account has a midwest connection. He posts commitments to many schools but seems to concentrate on Indiana and Kentucky schools.
  11. Not that anyone I saw was upset about missing on Lewis (IU fans not upset about missing on a 5* QB!? Whaaaa...) but this should make them feel better if they were. I know I'd take Mendoza over him. Proven college player.
  12. Speaking of blockers, we need some. Next up is OL. Strange how IU was linked with only the one guy. I hope you're not referring to the baseball definition of that.
  13. Next year is 85 and walk-ons like normal. After that it'll be 105 and no walk-ons.
  14. A bit more muscle wouldn't hurt. I certainly don't want to see IU's QB take that many hits. Plus we need to factor in IU's luck. An example of that is Penix who couldn't stay healthy at IU even at 6-3, 220. He'd get injured without even getting hit. Mr Glass at IU then stays healthy after he left. Nothing can derail a season as quickly as a starting QB going down.
  15. He was able to absorb 41 sacks last year. Seems durable enough.
  16. That would be amazing. We also need some OL commitments.
  17. On3 predictor is garbage. I hope we land Mendoza but I'm not going to rely on them to tell me if it's likely or not.
  18. I think CCC's mouth is part of it. Part of it was that it was the 1st game on a Friday night. Part of it is the butthurt by the SEC for Tennessee getting embarrassed. Part of if is elitism and they just see IU's history. At the end of the day, they all played 60 minutes and it lost by the least amount. It's not like it was against ND's scrubs.
  19. Is this the more important of the 2 transfer windows in terms of talent? It seems like most of the good players would transfer now and the spring would be mainly those who probably didn't perform in spring practice. Is that the case or are they about the same in terms of talent in the portal?
  20. He'll probably get another year. Redshirt year, COVID year, then 3 seasons of double digit games followed by a 3 game injury year. There have been many similar cases I've seen get another year so I expect he will also.
  21. Is it time for spring football yet?
  22. Yes, their predictions are best ignored. Not very accurate.
