IU didn't hire the last interim coach and i don't see it happening in this case if Woodson is gone before the end of the year.

If the IU admin wants to really fracture the fanbase, they'd hire Beard. That would not be a hire made to bring the fans back. Then if he didn't win big immediately? Wow, that would make this toxicity look tame. Luckily, I just don't see any way IU would hire him anyways so this argument about whether or not he should be hired is moot.

Did you consider that he might be a Woody Homer because he's a UM alum? Pretty much every fanbase in the B1G (except IU, of course) should be defending Woody.

Right, because the media and fans are why the team has gotten blasted in their last 2 games. It's also why so many of Woodson's losses have been blowouts. After all, it's the media and fans responsibility to coach the players, do game planning, make sure the players are playing hard, build a roster, etc.

I recommend not holding your breath while waiting for IU to hire Beard.

IU doesn't offer a chemical engineering degree so you're definitely correct that none of them have that as a major. Your point stands though, it's very doubtful any of them need to spend too much time on school work. Those that get playing time, at least. There is that one guy who it was known wouldn't get PT when he transferred in from some NC school so maybe he has an actual class load. James, I think?

IF (big IF) Stevens does come to coach at IU, just think of the fanbase anxiety every year worrying if he'll jump back to the NBA.

So February 3rd of last year. After the Hoosiers lost to Penn State (10-11 before that game) at home for their 9th loss of the season. At that point, IU had just lost 6 of 9 games. Yeah, he doesn't care. That's as bad as the Woodson wine and cigars picture after a loss. That's a mighty nice purse Quinn has there.

I guess Woodson wouldn't have to worry about the fire chant and boos at that game as much if that's the case.
