  1. FIFY. Just thought I'd get a head start on the grammar fixing since you resorted to that the last time you posted this much, probably just a matter of time until you start again.
  2. From the article: In the 2008-09 season, when Tom Crean put his first IU team together with pipe cleaners, Gorilla glue and a string of guys no other Big Ten program wanted, Indiana lost 17 of 18 conference games. Precisely two of those losses were by 25 or more points — one on Jan. 10, the other on Feb. 7.
  3. He's not. Just a internet rando troll.
  4. It also shows that the administration is actually taking steps to correct the issue. Increases the likelihood the new coach is hired in a timely fashion at the end of the season, early enough to take advantage of the portal to possibly field a competitive team next season.
  5. So the new argument is that Woodson needs to stay until the end of the season because we don't have someone that is believed will step in as interim coach and be instantly successful or that he might not get hired as the long term head coach? It doesn't matter if the interim coach is successful or not. It matters that the coach who has failed is replaced. An interim coach turning the season around is just gravy, unless he becomes the actual coach and then fails himself. I don't think any of the assistant coaches should be considered as HC so any of them would be just fine as interim. It seems some don't understand what interim means, so I'll help:
  6. Not going to happen. - They're not going to get to 10 wins. - Even if they do, I think the losses have been so bad they still don't make the tournament. - Even if that happens, Woodson has lost the support of fans. It was known last year that he was losing fans. Now they're chanting for him to be fired. He's greatly underperformed with a $6M NIL budget. I just don't see any way he's back next year, barring some miracle run, both in the regular season and into the tournament. Even then, they'd have to think long and hard about bringing him back. This won't happen though because it appears that most in the program have thrown in the towel and given up on the season, from the HC down. There just doesn't seem to be any effort.
  7. It's not all doom and gloom. The IU football team just landed another transfer today. So we have that going for us. Also, fire Woodson yesterday.
  8. Woodson needs to rack up the losses on his own record.
  9. He's a record breaking coach. Stacking up games on the all time lists.
  10. In other words, even Crean's first 3 teams never had a 1st half that bad.
  11. Now down "only" 18. "Don't call it a comeback!" as LL Cool J said. No, seriously, don't call it that. They will still lose big.
  12. Sourdough is the best so he's obviously not that. The question is what do you have against sourdough?
  13. I like it that that many of the freshmen will be there for spring practice. That's like 2/3 of the incoming FR class?
  14. The radio show is Woodson's Iowa game.
  15. The way things have gone for IU basketball hires since Knight, we'll probably hire Shrewsberry and ND will hire Stevens on the cheap since his daughter is there. Shrews gets fired in 4 years even though it's obvious he isn't the guy after year 2. Stevens stays at ND for 20 years and wins multiple championships. Just kidding.... Kind of.
  16. Revenue sharing gets paid directly from the university to the athletes, yes. I would count this as a separate payment than NIL but in the end the combinrd amount is what will go to the athletes. Not using one source would be a mistake so both revenue sharing and NIL will be used. Revenue sharing has a cap. Next year it is $20.5M per university to be split among all sports and athletes as the universities see fit.
  17. I'm aware of that. I'm just wondering if some of the assistants are significantly worse at their jobs than the others. I personally hope the assistant coaches and strength and conditioning coach follows Woodson out the door. It's funny how any question like the one I posted gets construed as some sort of defense of the Woodson.
  18. Knight's championship winning days were already behind him.
  19. Except they are getting paid. Not life changing money like some basketball and football players, but they're getting paid. Swimming brings recognition to the university than VB does since it's one of the more popular Olympic sports. I'm sure a lot more people have heard of Lilly King than any volleyball player. The school they attend(ed) is often discussed by announcers and athletes.
  20. Not sure why this was funny, @Chris007. It's consistently one of the best programs IU has with a ton of tradition and swimmers that medal in the Olympics. Very good chance for the men to win the national championship this year. Definitely better money spent than a sport like volleyball.
  21. Not swimming? Their monster transfer class this year seems to indicate they got pretty good NIL.
  22. That's not just on the head coach, it's on the assistant coaches as well. I wonder if there is any pattern for which assistant is responsible for the scouting of an opponent and how prepared/unprepared the team tends to be.
