  1. I saw him post after the 1st game. Or maybe it was one the exhibitions.
  2. Fun win against a bad team. It's been a while since IU has had a team which not only blows out team they should, but does so while extending the lead the whole time. Other than blowing their 7-0 lead early, this team was able to double up their opponent and stay doubled. Great to see they didn't let up. Nice to see them hit open shots and FT. They were focused tonight.
  3. TJD, Thompson, and JHS are the only IU players that haven't hit a 3 tonight. JHS is 0-4 from that range but hit first hit FG was just inside the line so he can definitely hit from that range. Just a matter of time. Other than him and Thompson, the rest of the team is shooting 10-13.
  4. It feels as though TJD has hardly played tonight yet he has 12 points.
  5. Sure, there's also just purchasing the blue verified mark now which is what I'm talking about. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/11/09/new-twitter-verification-process-creates-chaos-with-report-from-fake-adam-schefter-account/ https://mashable.com/article/fake-news-blue-check-tweets-verification
  6. Nope. https://www.vox.com/recode/2022/11/4/23438917/twitter-verifications-blue-check-elon-musk
  7. Be very wary of news from "verified" Twitter accounts now (even more wary than before, that is). Now anyone can buy a verification blue check mark under any name they want and spread false news.
  8. OSU: Lots and lots of points IU: lol is the season over yet?
  9. I'd guess that if Lander had stayed, he probably wouldn't have finished higher than 4th in the Mr. Basketball voting. I think that the top 3 of Furst, Kaufman, and Brown would've been the same.
  10. Kaufman was also Gatorade POY his junior year. The only player in IN to ever do that. He was never Mr. Basketball since Furst beat him out for that award. Mr. Basketball and GPOY don't guarantee that the player will be great at the next level but over it's history it is a pretty good indicator. These awards, much like rankings, aren't the be-all and end-all of determining success at the collegiate level but they are decent indicators. They're correct more often than they're wrong. I disagree that Lander would have won Mr. Basketball. I guess you're trying to say you knew all along that Kaufman wouldn't have an immediate impact in college?
  11. I hear you but I don't really think that was the case here. He was a top 50 recruit and I think at one point he was ranked somewhere 30-35 so even people outside of Indiana thought highly of his skills. Didn't he also when Indiana POY his junior year? Anyways, he's not turning into the difference maker he was thought to be as a recruit. Certainly not an immediate impact type player regardless of whether or not he turns into a good college player.
  12. I admit I was pretty disappointed when Kaufman chose PU over IU. It's starting to look like he might not be as good as advertised and not as big of a miss as I thought. Instead of having an immediate impact he red shirted last year. This year he's coming off the bench and was only 8th in minutes played in their first game. He still has a lot of time to improve, but that certainly takes away the sting of missing on him.
  13. I may be confusing him with someone else, but didn't Miller try to recruit Morton as a PG? It's hilarious (and typical Miller) if he can't handle the ball.
  14. Ah, I'm 4 hours too late opening this thread, I see. You beat me to it.
  15. Wow. That's surprising. I thought it was UCLA who was thought to be a lock for him.
  16. I think the only way to turn it around is to spend big bucks on an established name. Someone recruits would be willing to trust to turn IU into a good team. Of course, that won't happen for multiple reasons. First and foremost is that IU is cheap and wouldn't be willing to do that. The other problem would be whether or not anyone of that stature would be willing to come to IU. Maybe Dolson could appeal to their egos along with their wallets. IU"s history of football HC "searches" has been a joke so just having a competent search which even looks at up and comers would be an improvement.
  17. That sums up the situation nicely. Sad but true.
  18. I don't see how that hurt him. It didn't waste any eligibility and he got to college a year early. Hell probably have a master's degree by the time he's done which is good because he's probably not going to be making money playing basketball.
  19. I'll have what you're having, it must be some great stuff.;)
  20. Good point. PG would be a better position for him...
  21. "On December 6, 2020, none of us would have seen the current situation coming, even if we figured the 2020 level of success wasn’t sustainable." That's not really true. Some didn't believe, even then, that Allen was a good coach who could continue the success he found in those extreme circumstances. I'm not at all surprised we're were we're at.
  22. A lot of people are reluctant to believe that someone's shooting has greatly improved until they see it in actual games. Throughout the Miller years, we seemed to always hear that so-and-so was a "sniper in practice, you'll see when the season begins." It never worked out. Even heading into last year, Bates, Kopp, and/or Stewart were going to fix the shooting woes. Didn't happen. So after that over and over, is surprising that people are cynical?
