He's also not afraid to play dirty if it looks like he's getting beat.

I wouldn't worry about it at all.

Who fills the last scholarship?

Basically just says what we already knew that IU reached out to Johnson but also talks about his play style. https://hoosierillustrated.com/indiana-basketball-among-programs-that-reached-out-to-kansas-decommit-chris-johnson/?fbclid=IwAR0eBrg1t39dOSP5-d7RwKG3PGClaNj9uNsYGPQilbsnX61iZS6DtZQgUDo -
Who fills the last scholarship?

That plus the fact that most schools require people to take a certain number of credits at their institution before they can graduate from there. This number is usually around 60 credit hours (4 semester of full time). He has only been at UK for 1 year. -
Those 5 are my ideal but totally unrealistic recruiting class as well. On paper, that would be IU's best recruiting class ever. Possibly the best ever period with 5 top 10 players. Duke and UK have pulled off some amazing classes but I don't know if they've ever landed 1/2 of the top 10 in a single class.

I've transferred credits before and you don't need the old school to send anything. You get a copy of your transcript and give it to the new school. The new school might then need to check if the classes are the same or close enough to what they offer but a lot of that info they already know and/or the system is automated because most classes were approved quickly. I very much doubt that UK is refusing to give out the information needed for ISU to decide whether or not the transfer credits count.

He's been in school for 4 years so next year he'll be 22-23 years old. Apparently he doesn't want to babysit a bunch of 18-19 year olds.
-
Yeah, they can at their own institution. Cal can't do anything about Reeves taking classes at ISU. To transfer credits, all he needs is a transcript. Again, he can't stop Reeves if Reeves graduated from ISU and wants to transfer. As far as Shannon is concerned, I don't think the school itself did anything to stop him from taking classes he needed. I think the coach refused to let him use scholarship money to pay for them. That's really the only control coaches have now.

I dislike Calipari but he can't "hold Reeves hostage." It wouldn't even make sense from a winning POV since Reeves would resent him if he did so which I can't imagine would be good for the team. Schools require a certain amount of credit hours to be taken at that institution for someone to be eligible to graduate with a degree from that school. This is typically around 60 credit hours, i.e. 4 semesters of full time attendance. Reeves has been at UK for 1 year so it's unlikely he had enough credit hours at UK to receive a degree from UK. There's nothing Cal can do about this. It's been reported that he's taking summer classes at his previous school, ISU. If so, thus makes sense for him wanting to transfer. He probably transferred his UK credits to ISU and is finishing up whichever classes he needs to graduate from ISU. He could then enter the portal as a great transfer. That's not too stay that is what he'll do, but it looks like at very least he's making that an option for himself.

To add to this, before his injury he was 247 composite top 75, with a lot of time ranked in the 60s. As of January, he was 71st. When the ranking were updated 2 months later, he was in the 100s and finished at 114.
-
It sounds like it might be a while before we find out if Reeves plans to transfer or not. He's taking summer classes needed to graduate but some think that he will transfer. The classes he's taking are through ISU so it seems like he's intent on graduating soon since he wouldn't have enough UK credits to graduate there. https://www.on3.com/college/kentucky-wildcats/news/kentucky-insider-shares-latest-on-status-of-antonio-reeves/

I'm pretty sure some of them only look to see if the defender is outside of the circle at the time of the collision. If he's outside, it's a charge, if he's not it's a block. They don't even care if he was set or not. This rule change wouldn't really affect that since they already don't care about the timing.

And Nebraska. Arkansas and Nebraska have been doing this every year. UM and UK mostly just this year.
-
Good riddance. I hope he leaves the conference.

That's a good song by STP. -
I wouldn't complain about a recruiting class of 1-5

So now we can't sell recruits on getting to play the best the B1G has to offer every year? :) JK, this is so much better. When I saw there would be 1-3 protected games per team, I wouldn't have been surprised to see IU's protected games as Purdue, OSU, and Michigan or Penn State to make sure those teams (the latter 2/3 teams, not PU) get their gimme games protected.
