What I like about this coaching staff is their decisiveness when it comes to recruiting. It really gives the impression they know exactly what they're looking for.

He has eligibility left? It's too late in the year to get a medical redshirt for this season unless this happened awhile ago and they're just now announcing it.

I would expect very little from Newton next year. It'll be so much time since he last played regularly plus the fact that it's a knee injury that kept getting reinjured. Not a good combination for making an immediate impact when playing again, possibly bad enough that he could never get to the level of an impact player.

I think @Class of '66 Old Fart said he'd ban anyone who mentions him. There's this other guy, though, Stad Brevens, who would probably be a great hire.

With Flory coming in, Kansas still doesn't make any sense. If it's not IU (I'm guessing that is looking more and more unlikely) or Maryland then it'll be Houston.

This is just a placeholder for next flavor of the month which we'll probably find out about next month. Last March and early this season it was May many people were calling for. That has died down a bit and now it's Schertz. Let's not forget that before them it was Michael Lewis. Before him it was someone else. Next month it'll probably be someone new. Both have solid resumes at their respective levels but both are risks.

Ideally, Woodson wouldn't need to be fired because he'd decide to retire. I don't see that happening though. His ego is too big and he's too stubborn.

I'm feeling really apathetic about the basketball program. They'll continue to play poorly because, unlike last season, there is no leadership. So they'll continue to lose to any team with a pulse and miss the tournament. We'll continue to hear the same excuses from Woodson. Woodson will be back next year since he won't step down and definitely won't get fired. I expect that will be more of the same. It's been more bad than good since the mid '90s that I'm starting to just not care. I've already gotten to the point that I don't bother watching most of the games. I'll track the score then watch some of them. I wonder how long it'll be before I don't even bother doing that or reading and posting on message boards.
