Coach Curt Cignetti to INDIANA... Forever and Ever, Amen!

Umm, the field in that picture. Has the person who made it never seen a football field? it makes my head hurt with how bad it is. -
Weird move. Must have been offered a lot of money. I don't think he'll mind having less pressure since it's thought one of the reasons he OSU was the possibility of a QB competition.

I only watched a few minutes of the game but what I saw was discouraging. I got home and turned on the game when IU was up by double digits with under 10 minutes in the second half. I turned it off a few minutes later with IU up only 2 or 3 points. I've seen IU collapse too many times in the last 25 years to waste time watching another one. My 5 year old son asked me why I turned it off and I told him I didn't feel like watching IU play poorly so I just played with him instead. Better use of time.

I saw that a decision is expected within the next week during the signing period.

I guess he starts the recruiting early. I like the confidence that he'll be coaching when those babies are college students. -

I'm sure some of the fans that yearn for the simpler, cleaner time in sports that never really was will not like this but I'm glad IU is finally being proactive in trying to land transfers. That they're in bowl games says they're coming from programs that can win which should help the culture. -
It's still IU football until proven otherwise so I don't expect this to happen, but there are definitely at least 6 winnable games on that schedule.

(2024) QB Tyler Cherry TO INDIANA

CCC is said to be a good evaluator of talent and his history seems to back that up. -

Sure, if they fly under the radar for whatever reason. Do you really think a player who wins Mr. Football wouldn't have gotten looks? Your link also shows at least 2 P4 schools showed interest but didn't offer. Ringer doesn't even show that. -

His offer list isn't very impressive so if IU missed on him so did all of P4. -
2024 PG Daquan Davis to Florida State

Top 10 in the nation or top 10 in the B1G? That doesn't look like a top 10 in the B1G backcourt, much less top 10 in the nation. -
(2023) - SG Jakai Newton to INDIANA

What gets me is that during the season people bemoan lack of talent/depth at a certain position. Then in the offseason when that doesn't get addressed due to missing on players or the coaching staff not prioritizing that position, it's because the returning players were too good and possible replacements were scared off. Happens every year and it never makes sense. Especially when other teams (not just Duke, Kentucky, Kansas) are landing players at positions where they already have talent that is better than IU's while some schools like Duke are stacking talent.' I see that in the football recruiting threads too. Some are saying our chances at landing Tyler Cherry (4* highly rated QB) aren't very good because we just landed Mendoza (unranked QB). What? Really? Might not land him but it won't be because of Mendoza. -

The attention to detail shows they take pride in their work and care about making their customers look good. Oh, wait.. -

It seems like every year since Miller came that IU has an off-season sniper who then can't hit s**t when the season starts. Seeing IU's 3-point defense in action, is it really surprising that Gunn looked good practicing against that? -
You guys aren't reading between the lines. "THE TIDES ARE SHIFTING." What does Alabama say? Roll Tide. Obviously, Saban is going to come as an assistant and bring a bunch of Alabama transfers with him.

Regular smoke or the more fun "wacky" variety?
