  1. To bring it back to him, does CCC prefer Coke or Pepsi? Someone needs to be asking these hard hitting questions.
  2. That's what makes not listening even worse. They won't listen to offers from companies that produce a superior product to the companies they currently have deals with. Seriously, though, if the companies know that IU feels this way then there is no way they're giving IU the best deal possible. That would be bad business on their part.
  3. Not even listening to new deals before making up their minds? Bad business.
  4. Right. As the money discrepancy increases between them and the other major conferences, there's no reason to think that'll change. It might actually get worse. My point is that the playoff expanding to 12 teams didn't mean the ACC will be better off.
  5. Sure, an undefeated ACC would get into the 12 team field without issue. However, the ACC will continue to get screwed over in favor of other conferences if the teams aren't undefeated. ACC will probably still have some deserving teams left out for the last spot. It's not as big of an issue as the undefeated conference champion being left out but it'll still be an issue.
  6. For some of the things that might not be perfect about his coaching that you and others have mentioned, he does bring a lot of things that IU has been missing. Game prep is certainly one of them, so having a coach that does that well will be welcome. Same with player development, which is key if IU to ever turn it around since we're not going to be landing tons of talent any time soon.
  7. LCS gives others the benefit of the doubt but not IU.
  8. I hope he's at least paying attention in film sessions and watching practices so he at very least has a very good understanding of the system when he's ready to play. He'll be rusty but understanding what to do would help.
  9. It's not uncommon for P5 schools to bring in multiple QBs in a single class. If he doesn't think he can compete against and beat out Mendoza for the job, it's probably better for everyone.
  10. Landing him would be a nice start.
  11. It was okay when it was a coach at an opposing team but not to be tolerated when the other coach is an employee of UM.
  12. My thought while watching that clip was "what a ******. T him up." He's not tough enough to be intimidating but I guess he doesn't realize that. The ref looks like he's trying to not laugh.
  13. It's crazy that in college basketball this type of behavior is acceptable. Grown men acting like spoiled children throwing fits. Why would parents want their children learning how to act from guys like this?
  14. Who said anything about it being a major issue? It just didn't make any sense to be there. This site is pretty organized so I was just surprised it hadn't already been moved. /shrug But thanks for moving it.
  15. I was thinking along the lines of maybe a mod moving it.
  16. Winning a tournament doesn't take consistency. It just takes getting hot at the right time and favorable matchups. Flukes happen all the time. Hell, Davis almost won IU a national championship and he was far from consistent. Winning tournaments multiple times and/or making multiple deep runs (even in conference championship tournaments) would show some consistency but you made it sound like even just once would be good enough for you.
  17. I guess it depends on what you mean by "miss." If it had been another Miller hire, then maybe it couldn't recover. Woodson has been getting to the tournament and landing some 5* talent, so it shows the potential for the program is still there. Even with embarrassing losses like this one, the program is still in a better place than it was with Miller. This, plus NIL and an athletic department that finally seems to care about athletics again with money to spend should make it a more desirable position when Woodson needs to be replaced. For the record, I don't think Woodson's seat is even getting warm yet even with after this blow out. I think he'll be here several more years, at least.
  18. So why is this thread in the Indiana Men's Basketball forum and not the Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum?
  19. This alone wouldn't be the reason that FSU leaves (if they do), but would certainly be the last straw that makes it happen. This shows how little value staying in the ACC has: less money from TV contracts and the wins mean less than in the B1G, $EC, and Big 12. Even the expanded playoff starting next year will be heavily populated by schools from those 3 conferences. When it's a question between a school from those conferences and the ACC, the ACC will continue to lose out. If the B1G adds them, they would likely also add at least 1 other school from the ACC.
  20. Here we go again. When FSU got shafted I thought that would be what pushed them out of the ACC since they had already been looking to get out. At very least there would be rumors about it. Here are the rumors: https://spartanswire.usatoday.com/2023/12/08/rumor-florida-state-working-to-leave-acc-for-big-ten-within-next-month/ If they do leave, CFP committee may have just killed the ACC if this happens. 1/2 of the ACC was already looking to leave and the ACC would become that much weaker without FSU and it was already weak enough that an undefeated ACC wasn't good enough to get into the CFP over 2 11-loss teams.
  21. Right. But was someone like Sorsby worth 10% of the pool? Nope.
  22. That's what I was thinking. He's probably putting that in there in hopes of getting a waiver since he used his transfer already. Oh look, it's #1 on the list: UNDERGRADUATE FOUR-YEAR TRANSFER WAIVERS (Effective for 2023-24 championship eligibility) An undergraduate transfer waiver will only be considered for student-athletes who transfer: (1) For reasons related to the student-athlete’s physical or mental health and well-being; (2) Due to exigent circumstances outside the student-athlete’s control (e.g., physical or sexual assault or discrimination based on a protected class); or (3) Assertions involving diagnosed education impacting disabilities. I hope it's more a more rigorous process than just having them say, "I need the waiver for my mental health" or "Staying at that school would affect my mental health" without giving more than that. I personally have no problems if they wanted to give unlimited transfers without sitting out. But if they're going to put restrictions on the transfer waiver process and put one of the 3 reasons as mental health, I don't want to see every player claiming mental health issues just to get a waiver. It needs to be a rigorous process. If not, it'll make mental health a joke and have a negative effect on those who actually have issues.
  23. I saw a quote the other day that makes me think that CCC will take a moneyball approach to NIL.
  24. Well deserved.
  25. Bryson Tiller will have on OV to Kansas this weekend and will be on an OV at IU the weekend of he game. I don't think he's coming to just watch Kansas but he is considering both schools. Kansas isn't involved in Sisley's recruitment.
