They “Retired” Coach Woodson Thread

And I hope you're right. Is it confirmed that this is Buckner's last year on the BOT? Side note, my mother, former asst to a few IU presidents, attended multiple BOT meetings over the years, knew all of former T's personally, and is amazed at the current BOT and how things are right now.... That's about all I can say. https://trustees.iu.edu/the-trustees/current-trustees/index.html Edit - I see Buckner's current term is listed 2022-25 -
49 years is damn impressive, and yeah it’s now even harder to go undefeated. A team that continues to stand the test of time

I’ve been listening to a lot if Chris Cornell lately — front man / singer - songwriter- guitarist of Audioslave, Soundgarden, and Temple of the Dog, and later solo artist before he took his own life. A fantastic singer/songwriter with great range, lyrics and power. Should be in the rock & roll HOF, another great one lost. Worth sifting through his songs- special artist

They “Retired” Coach Woodson Thread

I hope you're right Stu. I was thinking it's more like top 4 finish and a SW 16. That it's time for a change seems very clear, I hope the bar is high for any chance at staying. -
Much better running a more balanced inside and outside game with one true big and Goode shooting (pun intended). 23 3’s, 39%, Bako with 20 on 4-8 from deep while Ballo dominated inside. That is so much more obviously effective than the idiotically dated, ineffective, low-scoring 2 big “offense” with Malik and Ballo. Hope Woodson, who was forced to run these lineups (at length) bc of Malik’s injury, learns from this game. We have a good team, imo. There’s enough talent here, that we saw going into the season, to make at least some noise. But it will require Woodson to stop rolling out out the same 2-big lineups when Malik is back

With Malik out, Goode started and was effective offensively— 12 points on 3-5 from outside. Bigger picture, because it wasn’t the Ballo-Malik front court game, we had a fairly balanced inside-outside game, shot 23 3’s (39%), Bako went for 20 (4-8 from the arc), and Ballo dominated inside with 25. If we play that kind of offense/lineups we are much closer to the team people expected coming into the season. But Woody was forced into these lineups because Malik was injured. If he has half a brain (highly questionable), he will learn from this game and run more 1 true-big lineups going forward instead of the predictable, ineffective, low-scoring 2-big inside game he stupidly has insisted on. Hope to see him utilize some brain cells and not just revert when Malik is back

I just really, really hope Woodson recognizes how much better the team is running 1 true big in the front court. Shot more 3’s, showed we can hit them when it’s not a play through the post game with 2 bigs. Clearly better when playing like this. Woodson, learn from this, don’t just lazily, stubbornly resort to your same style when Malik returns
