Bako's D needs a lot of work for sure. But he's a soph -- remember Wat as a soph? He was a sounding board for D jokes. His senior season? Defended everyone across the floor, and well. I don't believe in giving up on on guys, who are athletic and otherwise show strong bball skills. Bako is talented, he's athletic, he scores fluidly now. Imo the real lack is in the coaching, kid's coachable, he could be better on D. His growth offensively from his frosh year is clear. Next step, D.

That Woodson has them continuing to shoot by volume at the bottom of DI is mind-blowingly stupid. The "but we don't have shooters" excuse was always a bad one, this just highlights how nonexistent Woodson's use of the arc actually is. The shots are there and efficiently, and we're still barely shooting.

There are all kinds of scorers who aren't good defenders, including in the NBA. God knows we need Bako's scoring. You 'hide' him on D / rotate, you simplify the D, it's easy, but Woodson's incompetent.

Yeah both Rice and Gallo are due for a return-to-form game. Hope it's against Neb., we're going to need them.

Have been having a horrible night. My car, only 6k miles on it, went into limp mode for a “engine control fault” just off an exit downtown Houston. My roadside service experience was the worst ever. Took hours, were supposed to order a lyft for me and they couldn’t even do that right. Finally get home, exhausted, thinking what a crappy night. Then I see the Boilers lost to PSU by double digits. Thank you PU, for making my night better. You always manage to come through with an egg, and make me smile. :)
