I don't think we're a paper tiger, that's a bit of a stretch imo. We are a fairly talented team that has the ability to compete well but that also isn't deep enough athletically to compete in the top of the B1G. We couldn't hold the lead against Neb, that falloff was just plain bad, and is concerning, but the big lead the team had reflects its level of ability. Where we actually are as of now, among other things - 11th in effective field goal % defense (35th in field goal % D) - 42nd in defensive efficiency - 55th in scoring offense (84.5) - 57th in scoring defense (68 points), averaging 10 3-points a game (at 36% avg) - 65th overall in limiting TO's Getting the O to more consistently play to the level of the D seems to remain a challenge, but when they're hitting the team is capable of beating just about anyone. sure would be nice if Tucker can get back to the level of play he showed early on, he's been off and slow lately, not sure what the deal is there.

I think we beat Iowa and will have a good shot for W’s v Wisconsin and MSU. We just blew a 10 point second half lead ag Nebraska. That was bad — but can’t ignore that we came back from a first half deficit and took the 10 point lead in the second- we lost down the stretch but had the ability to win. Neb is undefeated for a reason. I think we’re better than the second half falloff reflects. That’s a we’ll see in the end but I still see a team, based on their play, that’s fully capable of winning more of these gamex

So they're going to try to force us into a half-court game, very, very solid defensive team but we're close defensively and right there with them offensively -- if our guys are balancing long-distance sniping with cuts to the basket (let's go Lamar!). We need to move the ball well to avoid getting trapped into a half-court game, and need to balance our shooting with rim attacks. This is a winnable game, and with Neb coming in 15-0 our guys and Devries should be ready. One thing Neb has done in its 2 impressive B1G road wins is start fast and then protect the cushion from an early big lead. We need to come out ready, no slow starts against these guys.
