  1. Sort of really sucks to miss out on a player of this caliber who the staff invested so much time and energy into. Total sour grapes, but the one time I saw him play in person, he had a pretty subpar game and struggled to score or make plays, so not like we are missing out on the next LeBron. Yes this is cope. Lol. Bottom line, we will have more opportunities to add elite talent to next year’s roster.
  2. I have been checking this thread periodically because I thought he was announcing at noon. No clue what the decision will be, but it is funny watching the emotional rollercoaster of these threads in the lead up to an announcement, lol
  3. Agree it’s a bad look all the way around. ND has a 3rd or 4th string CB who is also hitting the portal after 4 games to hopefully start next year elsewhere while preserving a year of eligibility, so I think we are going to see a lot more “business decisions” like that get made. I fault the schools more than the players because while it’s true quitting on your team sucks, most of these kids won’t ever be NFL players and as violent of a sport as football is, they need to make sure they’re getting paid while they’re playing. If a school misleads a kid about the financial opportunity there and that kid doesn’t have a clear path to the pros, hard to blame them for preserving their eligibility so they can get paid for the very limited time they have the opportunity. Regardless of the logic behind it, college sports as a product is worse off IMO in the current landscape.
  4. I’d be pretty surprised if ND basketball could pull Haralson. It’s ND basketball. 5 star kids don’t really go there. Hope that holds true. He will have a chance to earn plenty of minutes here.
  5. IU 42 Maryland 28 They get a garbage time TD to make it more respectable.
  6. Saw a similar picture posted when Goode committed. I love having kids who grew up “getting it” when it comes to IUBB, on the roster. Can only be a positive for the program culture / in the locker room. 2025 class is off to a good start and could shape up to be a great one.
  7. I think this Jalen Haralson kid is really, really damn good at the game of basketball. Hope he’s in candy stripes next year.
  8. Statements are being made. Through the first four games.
  9. Quite a few of my ND alum friends, after their super embarrassing NIU loss and yesterday’s win, have made snarky comments about maybe he should move further north next year. He doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy to move on so quickly- like he enjoys program building, but money and winning big always talks… kinda nice knowing we’ve got a staff that is capable of taking IUFB further than it’s been in recent history.
  10. Kurtis Rourke is…. Very good.
  11. **** it we’re a football school until further notice.
  12. LETS GO. Missed FG really a great way to end the quarter. 14-0 in the B10 opener at the Rose Bowl? Fellas, I think we’re bowling this year? In coach Cig we trust. IUFB may be the best team in the state.
  13. Incredibly soft. Is UCLA’s QB that ref’s nephew?
  14. Better start than you could ever ask for.
  15. FWIW UConn's fans don't seem to find Zanetto credible when it comes to breaking recruiting news. Quite amusingly, some of their fans are noticing Braylon "has a poker face" in all his recruiting pictures but that he has a "clenched smile" with UConn and UK staffs, so they must be in the lead. And of course, they think UConn is obviously the best fit for him, mainly concerned that IU will outdo them in NIL to keep him home. I'd be a little surprised if he doesn't go to IU but I haven't followed closely and don't really know ****
  16. I’d like to imagine Barrel Rick is reminding Braylon he’ll have the option to transfer after a season if things aren’t going how he wants… if he grew up a fan of IU, may as well live the dream for a year. Barring the NBA calling or a coaching change / extraordinary personal circumstances, I’d be willing to bet that if he does make it to campus as a freshman he won’t want to play for another school. Hard not to love Bloomington, especially as a star student athlete, safe to assume. Let’s seal the deal Barrel! Lol
  17. Kid never met a shot he didn’t like, from the little I’ve watched him, lol. When he played at an EYBL game in New Jersey my ol ball coach father couldn’t comprehend the way Link academy was playing… 3s or dunks only the entire game. His shooting stroke is pure, for sure. Shot selection left something to be desired… IMO he will either be one of those guys who churns and burns through programs or become a serious 3 level scoring threat like his own version of a Harden/Curry hybrid.
  18. Couldn’t agree more.
  19. From the little bit I know of Pat Kelsey, I expect Louisville will be light years ahead of what they were last year... Not necessarily elite or even great, but decent to pretty good in year 1.
  20. Louisville first game. Play the winner/loser of WVU and Gonzaga next.
  21. Pretty ironic from you, no?
