  1. I really enjoy watching his intensity v15044gf0000d72vtofog65spg0s5h70.MP4 Sorry for the XXXL video
  2. I will go by what I watched this year
  3. The last time Iowa (1980) or Arizona (2001) made the final four, they were coached by Lute Olson
  4. My hot take, I'd probably rather return Miles than Dorn. I don't think Dorn is great ROI as just a catch and shoot guy. He can't affect the game positively in other ways. You can get a catch and shoot player for cheaper, probably, IMO. Miles is a plus defender and rebounder. Has B10 athleticism. I think he could be a net positive if the game slows down for him a little mentally next year. Ultimately I wouldn't be so upset with either leaving. I'd prefer Sisley, Miles, Andrej and maybe Harris if I could choose.
  5. Playing pick up against the inmates in county jail is probably a good way to make sure he isn't rusty tonight... lol
  6. I'm a little surprised too but this time last year the portal was already open IIRC and this year it doesn't open until April 7. I think players good enough to field a competitive market are mainly the only ones with much incentive to announce their intentions just yet. Most of our potential transfers didn't even get much, if any, new tape to put out. If they announce now, it's pretty obvious they're being pushed out. IMO could be back channeling now to figure out where they're going... if they can find a coach willing to buy the idea they just need a different opportunity, instead of just seeing them getting pushed out, is what I speculate they're doing. Don't a lot of players enter the portal and never end up getting another opportunity? Or maybe we get a bunch of announcements this afternoon, lol
  7. The AI surely is getting that from the Daily Hoosier article you mention and is simply not smart enough to distinguish that it's not a current article.
  8. Maybe it ramps up the noise externally. Internally at IU, I don't think that stuff adds pressure for him... I think he's running his own race, so to speak. Which is fine IMO as long as he's moving at an acceptable pace.
  9. Hoiberg definitely needs to be added to the Hall of Shame for having 4 players on the court to blow the game with an elite 8 trip on the line! Terrible way for a wonderful season for them to end.
  10. Theres a clip of McCollum literally foaming at the mouth as he chews out one of his players tonight lol
  11. Illinois Houston tied at 14 with 7 minutes left. Ooof. Arkansas 21 Arizona 32 with 8:30 to go.
  12. And, he is 44 years old...
  13. Sampson in no mood for the stupid sideline interview. They need to cut that crap out or let an assistant do it.
  14. McCollum engineers so many match ups and calls great plays out of timeouts. They were trailing by 10 points most of the game. Both coaches made a ton of adjustments not only at halftime but within each half. Until Nebraska blew a tire in the last two minutes it was a pretty good coaching battle IMO. McCollum definitely has the secret sauce that winners do.
  15. Just sharing what I found 3 seniors (Stirtz, Banks, Hausen... Banks is a much bigger loss than Hausen but by no means irreplaceable) 3 juniors (Manyawu, Folguieras, Combs ... all are significant contributors on this team) 2 sophomores (Howard and Jacob Koch ... Howard has been with him since Drake, J Koch is a non factor allowed to walk on because of his brother) 5 freshmen (Cooper Koch and Tate Sage - both contributing in this tournament run; Trey Thompson - redshirting, former top 60 recruit; two developmental big guys) They have a 4 star 2026 committed Ethan Harris 6'9 #17 PF. We will see how they do with transfers / the portal but that team is making the tournament next year without needing to add very much IMO
  16. You're probably right to be honest on both points. Do think there's something to be said about playing a team you're familiar with already, but the matchup is much more important. Wonder if Sampson can put Underwoodivic in a blender
  17. Fair I wasn't accounting for the "better odds than Arizona" part of the post
  18. Purdue would not be able to handle their athleticism and they wouldn't be able to out muscle them nearly as easily as Texas IMO. Arkansas playing at their best can definitely beat Purdue playing at their best IMO.
  19. You may be right. I don't think they've got a great shot against either team. Iowa fans must be rooting like hell for Illinois.
  20. TKR is going to randomly remember this moment while talking to you about the MSRP on a mean new Honda Civic one day and completely lose his train of thought.
  21. For sure. I hadn't looked before tonight but their roster construction is great IMO. Tons of returners next year. They are not going anywhere sadly IMO
  22. Kenya Hunter was pumped lol
  23. Umm is this Ben McCollum's ceiling? Aha... (trying not to cry)
  24. Tate Sage is a freshman. Iowa has a ton of underclassmen coming back that have contributed in this tournament. Return some good upper class men too. Onto the elite 8 they go.
  25. Folgueiras, Koch, and Combs have been massive tonight. How the hell does Hoidberg not have 5 guys out there at that moment... insane.
