In case anyone wanted to know... before today and as of the January 11th, average NET Rankings for conferences Big East- 44.2 Big Ten- 45.6 Big 12. 45.6 PAC 12- 65.2 SEC- 67.1 ACC- 72.4 Big Ten brought WAY down with Northwestern at 139 and Nebraska at 159. I think anytime you lose by 15+ it’s a bad loss I don’t care who or where you play. Arky just hurt us fans and not exactly our resume though it would have helped a ton to be 14-2 right now. Losing to Rutger, Nebraska or Northwestern are no bueno. I don’t care where NET has them or anything. We can’t lose to those 3. Everyone else, depends how we lose. But to only have 9 losses, means only 7 less. I’d like to keep it under that but this team is pretty bipolar. It’d be nice to end the B1G season with just 7 losses. That doesn’t really matter. Had we beaten Wisconsin, we would have been ranked. Even a super close game could have gotten us in. Instead we got destroyed. That pushed us back. Then played like poop before losing to Arkansas at home. Then got destroyed by Maryland. It’s a week to week poll. It combines what you’ve done all year and that most recent week. I’ve never seen a college basketball season where basically every team is so flaky. The impact of kids leaving earlier and earlier is tearing its ugly head. Hell look at Virginia. Kyle Guy definitely should have stayed. Jerome probably as well. They are not good at offense. Still a strong defensive team. Losing to Cuse this season isn’t good. DeRon actually had a nice half. Played like he cared and hustled. The offense was active to start the game and then backed off for whatever reason.
