  1. 100% for me is the concession stands same as at AH. More of them please.
  2. Definitely scouting has been bad. I understand there isn't the draft depth in the WNBA and there are very limited spots each year, but you'd think they'd be able to find at least rotational players if not starters drafting that high the past few years. Hopefully they get the top pick again this year.
  3. Isn't that "organization" just the same as the Pacers for all intents and purposes? Simon is the owner. So not sure why it's been such a "sh*t show there. But they seem to be getting better, but are still playing zero defense. Much like this draft, the next draft will be huge for them.
  4. Got me. He's not on scholarship though. Maybe he's working out with them?
  5. Oh yeah. He made a big mistake leaving but at least he's getting his degree (hopefully).
  6. It's already a done deal and been reported all day.
  7. I don't think the talks are very preliminary at all and definitely not vapor. If I was to bet, I would say at least two (UW and Oregon) will be leaving for the BIG very, very soon. Pac 12 is toast. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/38123037/big-ten-explores-possible-expansion-amid-pac-12-instability
  8. This was the knock on him at Oregon. So I hope he buys in.
  9. Thank you. Everyone kissing Fitzgerald's @$$ need only look at their record the past 3-4 years and that's in the West. They reached a ceiling then bottomed out.
  10. I don't blame if he's getting a ton of money. It's hard to turn that down especially if your pro prospects are suspect and/or limited to foreign leagues. If these guys are smart, and most don't seem to be, just stash that cash into a retirement fund and retire early. I hope to god some of these guys are doing this. It's not overwhelming life changing money in the day to day world (you can't live off it for more than a few years) , but if you invest it correctly you're set.
  11. We'll see soon enough. But let's be honest, they would have struggled again regardless now that they'll have to play a more "balanced" schedule. PU and NW benefitted tremendously playing in the west. I wouldn't say NW has been lighting it up the past few years either.
  12. Most kids aren't going to kick another teammates @$$ because they are being hazed. Guys want to fit in, they want to show they can handle it, that it doesn't bother them. True hardcore hazing serves no purpose and doesn't bring guys together, it's just a way to humiliate, tolerate bullies or carry on some old school tradition ("I was hazed so you're going to get hazed"). Messing with teammates and making them do stupid stuff, chores, etc. isn't the same as "hazing" that has been described, true or not, which we'll never know. But nudity has been apart of sports and fraternity hazing since hazing has been a thing, so I don't find it that hard to believe. I played sports my whole life and was in a fraternity. What's being described is pretty common if indeed that type of hazing was occurring.
  13. Agree 100%! I can't imagine growing up with this stuff everywhere. But I guess you just wouldn't do have the crazy dumb stuff we did. So glad I was able to.
  14. In this day and age with phones and social media, you've got to be an idiot to partake in this stuff or let it happen. Naked stuff has always been apart of it because it's considered the most humiliating, it's also the dumbest to do these days because people will literally be charged with sexual assault. Even when this stuff was considered "ok" it was dumb. Doing it now is really just idiotic, like a death wish.
  15. Northwestern wouldn't have done much in the East fwiw. And they seem to be losing steam 3-9, 7-2, 3-9, 1-11 the last four seasons and that's in the West, so that's pretty awful.
  16. I would just like to see more Florida guys again. I thought that was a very smart recruiting strategy. A three star from FLA is better than a three star from the Midwest.
  17. Yeah, I have noticed that as well. It also seems like the bigger recruits we had been landing leave after a year or two and not necessarily to play at better schools. We'll be able to fill in the gaps with the portal, but it's definitely not a good thing. The one aspect that Allen had been doing seemingly well was recruiting, especially in Florida. That "well" seems to have all but dried up. But I was impressed by the portal pick ups. CTA desperately needs a bounce back year. But I am cautiously optimistic if we can get decent (not detrimental) QB play. My worry is he's going to give the job to Davis regardless if he deserves it or not. The coaches really have to pick the guy who's going to give them the best chance to win regardless of high school rankings or hype.
  18. Might be the understatement of the year, but Moren really turned this program around. It's been pretty incredible. Let's hope we see continued success in the Big Ten and tourney.
  19. I think what he's saying is true. Chris Livingston's agent was calling teams telling them not to draft him because they had a deal lined up with Milwaukee. I am not sure why he would go out of his way to say they were told not to draft him if that wasn't the case. That being said, the Pacers literally have three other guys very similar to him. I was very disappointed too, but at the end of the day the decisions are based on fit and the player's desire to want to be on the team. Really the one recent IU guy they pass on that was inexcusable was OG. He's exactly the kind of player they needed and still need. That was a total flub.
  20. I'd say if he takes an official, we have more than a puncher's chance.
  21. Exactly, but there's no "loophole", those are just the rules.
  22. This is an odd take though. I don't think it's a "loophole". The kid just did not enter the portal, right? So he'd just have to transfer like a normal player. So I'm not sure what "loophole" they are referring to unless I don't get what they are talking about?
