  1. 23-60 his last year. I am not saying Trayce is or will do that. First and foremost Woody has to let him though. That's my biggest beef with Woody. You have to actually coach, run plays or tell players to do stuff in college. This isn't the NBA where players will just find their own.
  2. Anything is possible if he gets a big enough NIL offer. Unless he can shoot from outside (not proven at all that he can) his NBA prospects aren't great. Thomas Bryant proved though you can develop a jumper later.
  3. Got it. I saw one guy guessing. Supposedly another mod on another site mentioned something, but at this point it seems like wishful thinking as much as anything.
  4. Wright I believe. Where's the Jackson rumor coming from?
  5. From who? I mean I’ve seen some Tweets… I’ve also heard there’s other QB we’re working on as well and not Nolan because he isn’t graduating until after this semester.
  6. I was wondering about this. At the bottom of this article: https://247sports.com/Article/Transfer-portal-Oregon-State-QB-Chance-Nolan-Indiana-Louisiana-Tech-Colorado-State-202679506/ That whopping increase can be credited to the NCAA's new policy that student-athletes are allowed to transfer once in their careers without having to sit out a year-in-residence. That means all players who enter the transfer portal for the first time will be immediately eligible at their new school as long as they meet a NCAA-mandated entry deadline.
  7. Some of these guys are nuts. Transfer in, transfer out...
  8. I'm not a big rah rah guy just like I am not a big fan of the overtly macho dickhead stuff. But people bashing LEO are off base. Bashing his inability or probably a better word reluctance to hold players and coaches accountable I have less problems with. He's got enough talent to "win", he just hasn't made enough of the "off-season", "in-game", and "in-season" adjustments to change the tide when things weren't go well the past couple of seasons. Canning the fans #1 scape goat (and supposed best buddy) and hiring a good replacement was at least a start. Is it too late? Time will soon tell. Being the head coach can include using mantras like LEO but you still have to make the tough decisions. Love can also be tough, same with honesty. You have to practice what you preach. LEO is complicated. :)
  9. You can LEO and bench players.
  10. I agree if and when the time comes, they should look at Helton. But I think they'll have other decent options. Next year should be very interesting. It's really the make or break year for CTA, but for some reason (blind optimism, naivete?) I think he can still semi turn it around (get to a bowl). This season was disappointing, but better/more consistent QB play when the line was struggling (they did improve) and we're talking about a 6-6 or 7-5 season. Not benching Bazelak earlier was the main reason the season didn't go well. IU (CTA) can't stick with guys who are not playing well. IU doesn't have much margin for error. You can't ride players out of their funk especially a QB who's not a proven commodity. Like I would never have benched Penix (when healthy) because he was obviously their best option. But Bazelak basically had one good game then strung together a few "questionable" ones. Even if you start him again, you have to bench him "in game" when things are not going well. Many times that's how you find you're next starter or ignite the team. You have to have the balls to say "next man up". That's how you keep your players motivated and engaged. If it's all lip service, guys will start bailing on you. You can't keep playing guys because they played well at one time or because they're older. You have to give others a fair shot in a game to prove you or them, right or wrong.
  11. This is revisionist history. And both DeBoer (not Debord) and Wommack (not Womack) left to become head coaches. So IU should have fired CTA after his successful seasons and hired both of them to be co-head coaches? Like I'm not sure what IU was supposed to do with either situation. In regards to Penix, they obviously saw the talent. He played a lot. But he had a difficult time staying healthy. Was that an indictment on the o-line? Sure. But remember one of those injuries was him running out of bounds (non contact). And don't discount the Big Ten as a conference. It's way tougher (both physically and football wise) than the Pac- 12. So without a doubt playing in the Pac-12 has benefited Penix both physically and statistically. That being said, if and when IU moves on from CTA, they should have some pretty good options because of the previous albeit limited success of KW and CTA.
  12. I've talked to him a couple of times. He was not a fan of Knight. He would be better suited for today's game as he was a good shooter, but pretty soft.
  13. Not really obscure though, just not good. He played in 112 games.
  14. Yeah, get used to it. Win or lose, this is the new reality if players can transfer as many times as they want.
  15. After flipping from LA Tech to Indiana. Not saying things are going great, but using a flip flopper who's from the state he's flipping (again) to, is not necessarily the best example to prove the point. He had also been committed to IU for three months. Also, this class wasn't supposed to have more than 12-15 high school recruits from what I had read previously. So the number of high school recruits for this class was always going to be on the smaller side.
  16. Just in case anyone who cares didn't already know.
  17. He did. Seems like he's might have visits to Cincy and Louisville lined up as well.
  18. We should have been .500 this year (with the right QB), and did make good runs just a couple of years ago. Last season was the main problem. I am not necessarily confident, but next year is the tell for me. If it's another 2, 3, 4 win year, they'll have to make a change regardless of the buyout. No use getting depressed or mad about it. I will watch like I always do, mostly DVR when they win.
  19. Thank you! My problem with people complaining, it's not like dudes from big schools have been lighting it up when they get here. Camper was doing well. Let's get the right players, not the ones with the shiniest offers from two years ago. What have you done lately that can contribute to the team now.
  20. Once he started ripping everything IU I think it was open season. Whether he was being honest or not, doesn't really matter, he got personal. Let us not forget HE was on Sampson's staff. He likes to throw mud, but like a lot of big mouths, can't take any sort of criticism, just attacks people personally. Ripping Romeo, but I never heard him talk about Jadlow or Leary, two legit criminals. I wonder why that is? But then again, I stopped listening to him a while ago. He like's to think he's a tough guy, but he sure is a baby and a whiner. In regards to ESPN, I don't really know why anyone would watch it, politics aside, it's literally just a talking head network, it's not a sports network. I don't really give two sh*ts what 90% of those guys have to say. I stopped watching ESPN long ago, and most of the time when I watch games I don't have audio on. And I 100% agree with you. Politics is everywhere all the time and THAT is the biggest issue in the country. The rest of it is just noise to piss people off, exactly what DD does. He became nothing more than a full time agitator and troll.
  21. He's nuts. He turned his 15 minutes of fame into a decent media career and now he's burning every bridge possible. No one turns into sports radio to get some former jock's political takes. He needs therapy. And I mean it.
  22. Wonder no more: https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/rankings/cbs-sports-rankings/
  23. I assume it's just a way to get noticed, probably looking for the smaller school scholarships they turned down initially? They definitely aren't getting a scholarship anywhere else. I bet most of these types end up nowhere or a non NCAA school.
  24. Sign this guy up! I love it.
