Totally agree. Think that’s the most obvious change, but would take the committee conceding that conference championships don’t mean anything anymore which they probably aren’t ready to do because of the money involved. But I think a SMU/ASU and Boise State/IU game, for the right to play Penn state or Texas, would have been better television and competition than the current setup provided.

It feels like if they want these first round playoff games to be good games with potential for occasional upsets, they’re going to have to start playing on neutral sites.

Alright, time to breathe and think about it. But seriously, why did we call for fair catches on kickoffs from the ten yard line all game? Why did we run it up the middle the entire first half? And then why did we punt down in the 4th quarter? Ugh. Just didn’t look like a team that wanted to win tonight. Which hurts because I got so invested in this team this year.

We’re already kind of middling in that arena. The away team of the first round of the playoffs might be one of the worst draws a team with a good season can get in all honesty

If we ran this offense in the second quarter it would be a different narrative.

We HAVE to use this season to recruit better talent. Point blank. Or this season becomes a nice story that ends in regression to the middle of the pack. Bottom line. We had an easy schedule, caught Michigan rebooting and Washington too. It won’t get easier. We need more talent and size. We can’t count on a good coach and majority FCS transfers. Hopefully resources and Cig will make the jump to the next level.

3 points. If you’re gonna be an underdog, be an underdog. Go out with a bang. Trick plays. Fake punts. Show some swag. We ran up the middle and punted on 3rd down with 8 mins to play. Cig had talked the talk and for the most par lt walked the all this year, but this was a poor showing in all aspects.

Athletes. Strength. Size. It matters. A chip on your shoulder because you were under recruited will only get you so far.

I’m definitely more in the know on the basketball side, but I think it’s all pretty much the same. There are no more back channels and under the table stuff. Pretty much anything goes in today’s college athletics. They’re all talking to whomever they want, however they want. Nobody is regulating or monitoring this type of scale. Pretty much if you think it might be happening, it is, times ten. Summarily, there are no rules.

I suppose that’s better.

Except it doesn’t look like he HAS played in that many games. His game log says he played in 4 games in 2023 and 7 games in 2024. So hopefully he’s a depth piece and a good locker room guy.

Hopefully another depth get?? 11 receptions does not a noteworthy season make.
