At first was disappointed...but I love having Matta in an advisory role. I think Woodson’s nba experience and ability to connect with players as well as his IU connection + Matta + Lewis/Fife, Chaeney, Hunter/Guyton is a nice recipe. I’m just glad we didn’t go with a proven commodity and chose to take the road less traveled. It doesn’t seem like a home run hire on the surface, but maybe to get back to where we need to go we need to do something different? Best of luck Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

Maybe...Celtics trade a star or something / trade for a new coach, signaling Stevens is gonna leave. Or, on the flip side, Celtics acquire a star and go all in on a title, cementing that Stevens won’t leave once and for all. I think by all accounts this is the most 'home run' hire we could get, and he is certainly a good coach. For whatever reason, it just doesn't excite me as much as it should. The stupid Stevens debacle probably played too much with my expectations...

I've heard Matta has trouble getting to his seats at Butler and getting to and from his car at his gym in Indy. Could just be the rumor mill, but for that reason I find this potential hire tough to believe. Certainly a terrific coach, though.

Tbh...I don't think you ask questions. If Dolson even thinks that Brad could be convinced to take the job, you give him whatever he wants. He is literally the ONE guy who could unite our crazy fan base.

Extremely well put. It seems the entire organization during his tenure was filled with solid people - both coaches and players. Best of luck to them.
