  1. The KD > Lebron narrative is ridiculous. People don't understand it is SO much easier to score when you have 2 of the best three point shooters ever and a 4 who spaces the floor extremely well. KD has the entire lane to drive while Lebron has to go up against three help defenders whenever he drives. Not to mention the Warriors defense is vastly superior to the cavs: KD has one of the longest wingspans ever, Klay is an underrated, elite defender, Draymond is gonna be DPOY, and McGee has played much better than expected defensively. Also, the warriors play at an insanely fast pace because of their talent which allows them to rest their stars while Lebron is forced to give it his all for 40+ min a game...And STILL lebron is putting up the same numbers, more or less, as KD. It's ridiculous that people have became complacent with his brilliance and still expect more. All props to the warriors for showing up and being literally impossible to beat, but Lebron - at least for this year - is the best player, even though I understand it's hard to see when he's losing because the Warriors are so damn good Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  2. Georgia Tech would not be bad. They had a solid season last year, will be better this year, and if we beat them it'd be a solid win as they tend to knock off a few big teams each year Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  3. From my hometown. At WSU and in high school he was regarded as a black hole Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  4. We obviously have different opinions about the nature of MVP. I think MVP deserves to go to the best player in the world, and it's a shame voter fatigue kicks in and keeps players like Jordan and LeBron from earning more MVP's. Yes, Russ had a historic, historic season. But so did LeBron. He was the first to average 25-8-8 on 55% shooting. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  5. If you are the most valuable player of the NBA, your team should be able to make it past the first round of the playoffs..regardless of your teams skills. I believe the mvp's team should be moderately successful and russ's team just wasn't. Even in the regular season Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  6. Harden shot 2-11 with 10 points in an elimination game. I can't imagine the backlash LeBron would receive if he did that. Thus, IMO, Harden's out. While Kawhi has played tremendously well this season, there's no denying the fact the spurs win without him. I believe his success is a translation of Popp's greatness more so than his powers (albeit I do like him a lot and his improvement over the years is amazing). Also, LeBron was the better statistical performer in damn near every category so IMO Kawhi is out. Now Russ in the one I grapple with. I see why people love him and want to vote for him. What he did this season was incredible. However, with that being said, his team lost first round and he shot pretty poor percentages. I find it amazing he was able to essentially out hustle opponents each night, but his teammates allowed him to rack up the triple doubles and that there is my issue. The triple double is overhyped. There's not a huge difference between a 28-10-10 game and a 27-14-9 game... So when it comes to LBJ, I think with his ability to turn it on whenever he wants, his playoff performance, his stats, his efficiency, and his teams lack of success without him, the MVP deserves to go to him - the best player in the world. 7. How is LeBron not the MVP... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  8. Honestly I'm not sure why people dislike the Bruiser Flint hire. I watched the 30 for 30 on Calipari and Flint sounded intelligent, passionate, and truthful. If I was a top notch player, I'd play for him and buy in to his philosophy. All in all, CAM really did hire one of the best coaching staffs in the nation Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  9. Watching more of durham's film I'm very impressed and excited to see him in an IU jersey! However, I believe smith is the most indispensable recruit because he will best replace OG. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  10. I'm thinking both ostrom and groce are being considered for the Akron job and that's why Miller hasn't formally announced his other assistants. He's understandably allowing his friends and colleagues to see if they get the Akron job, and if they don't, I suspect he'll hire both. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  11. THANK YOU. JBJ is the type of player that takes a team from playing in march to april...if and only if Archie molds him into a leader which I believe he can do. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  12. I know it's a super long shot but maybe Archie convinces OG he could be a top 5 pick next year? Currently I see him as very late lottery to mid first round. Huge risk for OG, but we can dream right! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
