I just recently listened to the most recent peegs podcast with cignetti's press conference where I believe he said "some guys came in acting like the old Indiana, and I had to give them a stern message" I'm almost certain that wasn't right but I think that was the gist of it and I absolutely loved it.

I'd argue that you have to get players so you can win come November-March. I'd like to equate it to what a wise man once said, "you can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning"

I’m not sure if I’ve ever posted saying I’m an NC State alum who also considers himself a bigger Indiana fan but I’m saying it now. I love this NC State team. To be honest I think burns will have 3 fouls in the first 5 mins against edey but my goodness has this team been fun to watch. I’m a younger Indiana fan (25) and this run has been so much freaking fun. I just hope I can experience it for my number one team. I know some of you can’t fathom rooting for another team outside of Indiana. My dad went there and instilled this fandom in me since I was a youngin. but growing up in North Carolina I just couldn’t afford the out of state tuition. Seeing these guys beat UNC and Duke multiple times on this run is not going to do me any favors when I delusionally think whatever Indiana team we have next can make a similar run. All of this to say I want nothing more than for DJ Burns and the Wolfpack to beat the mfers from up north and continue their streak of losing to double digit seeds. Any reasoning behind this? Selfishly I'm hoping they'll be in Greensboro for the first round so I can go but I really don't have much of an idea how the locations work outside of the top 4 seeds

Largely agree here. My point was more of that if this were a team of players that consistently play at their best like the top teams have, it would be much easier to predict how they would come out on a given night. The top teams best players, for the most part, give you what you’d expect, if not more, night in and night out with some odd games here and there. The only time Indiana has had that is the 5 game stretch where trayce was truly dominant. But some games we make 7-8 threes and others we make 1. Don’t know if this has already been said but, IMO it’s pointless to speculate on what this team could or should play like. There are 2 versions and 1 is a legit final four contender and the other gets blow out by a double digit seed in round one. They are capable of beating anyone and losing to anyone. As maddening as it is they are consistently inconsistent
