....I've seen this video countless times and it never gets old! After IU's blocked punt and touchdown, the second best part of this video is the priceless reaction from Miami's coaching staff AND thier fans!

......I know this has been posted before, but the more I read it, Dolson's comments made sort of had me scratching my head. Did Dolson allow sort of a "cheap roster, scab" team to get us to 2026? lol We did get a gem when we landed Wilkerson. Indiana AD Scott Dolson commended coach Darian DeVries for assembling the 2025-26 basketball roster quickly under difficult circumstances, describing it as a group meant to "get us through this season". The roster was viewed as a temporary fix, with plans for a more intentional team build in the 2026-27 season.

....I would imagine we will start hearing chatter about current IU players either entering the transfer portal or staying soon. I also wouldn't be surprised to hear of DeVries making some coaching staff changes.

lol....Obviously there are better teams getting paid, but yes,......money/NIL is part of the issue with certain players, not the sole issue.

...you have to admit,.... Pre - NIL,........ all players had was what they brought to a team, the desire to play for "that coach" or "that school" and the hopes that a great season/seasons will get you noticed and closer to the NBA. Current - NIL,.......It's a double edge sword! Money changes everything no matter what you say or think. Yes it can bring in unlikely players who normally wouldn't come and help change the direction of that university. IMO, It also might cloud/soften certain players desire and will to play to their highest potential. I say this, because of quite possibly, the large amount of money these players are paid sometimes creates a false security as if they have "finally made it". All this being said, I can see some players thinking this way, especially at the end of their college playing career.

....I honestly can't stop thinking about Mendoza's failed attempt to call Coach Smart an commit to Georgia!! He mentioned that both schools were close, but ultimately, he really wanted to go to Georgia over IU. Obivously he is an incredible young man and his faith is a huge part of his life. Him saying that "it must me a sign that the call didn't go through" and "wanting to sleep on it" tells me alot. IMO, his heart was telling him to go to IU but his head was telling him he should go to Georgia because of the continued history and success of that program. I really think he was totally relieved that the call didn't go through, honestly. Now he could go where his heart was calling him. That's my take. lol

I love this quote in a recent Sports Illustrated article interview of Coach DeVries….. Coach DeVries is completely transparent in his explanation and admits that he feels he and his coaches “messed up/overlooked” a player’s utilization,(Sam Alexis)…. He and his coaching staff worked together and made a change. Coach Woodson would have said, “ It’s my job and it’s on me to get these players ready to play better and get them over the hump….!” We all know this statement was repeated countless times after a poor performance followed up by the same results.

I’ve felt since they hired him that he seems unlikable… He has that attitude where he blames everyone but himself. There’s a part where he said they didn’t listen to him till the last 2 mins of the game, especially defending the inbounds. My biggest take away is the players probably to really care for him or respect him…. JMO
