  1. .....honestly, JMO, but it's a no brainer for any kid to want to play for a future Hall of Fame (NCAA) Football Coach in Cignetti. He wins, knows talent, developes talent and gets result. I'm sure Coach Belichick is trying to sell him his obvious NFL connection, but what really benefits him to play at UNC over IU? Maybe he's just trying to chase a bag $. If so, that's not something Coach Cignetti's going spend much time going back and forth with. Besides......, he, Monshun, and Brewer are supposed to be visiting this weekend. We will see who all shows up and hope it's a good one! jmo
  2. JMO, but I see some similarities between Moody and Oladipo. I would be awesome to see Moody had the potential success of a Oladipo type of player. Obviously he was considered an under the radar player at 3 stars when Crean recruited him. Vic ended up playing in 32 games his freshman year, averaging almost 8 pts. in 15-18 min. per game.
  3. ....I honestly think some on here may be overlooking the potential positive impact these 3 incoming freshmen may have on this team. jmo
  4. https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/curt-cignetti-reveals-indiana-real-095817689.html .....This article is an excellent read. Coach Cignetti is proof positive that,... the way you coach, your knowledge of the entire game and how you get buy in from coaches and players is the absolute pinnacle to success! Yes, we had to spend money, but not anywhere close to the degree that most think. Those results were all Coach Cignetti. On the flip side, it reminded me of how much money Coach Woodson spent on IU's roster, his last year. It was reported to be top 5 at 5-6 mil. He had to spend more money to keep MgBako and Reneau from leaving and pay bigger money just to convince Omar Ball to come to IU. That roster under performed and totally exposed Woodson's lack of coaching in all fases. He had to spend big money and it still didn't help.
  5. Texas Tech is probably sweatin'...
  6. ....It's funny how some posters seem to "know" privileged information, like how much NIL $ we actually started with and how much we currently have left. GM Carr's "No Leak" policy covers a broad scope. I wouldn't be surprised if Coach DeVries and Carr already know who they want.
  7. ….yep, KY Gov Andy Bashear is not happy about that either.
  8. ....I foresee Sisely coming out this year looking more fit with a noticable increase in muscle. jmo
  9. I'd bite,... if it's cheap.
  10. .....there's been a lot of chatter of Coach Cignetti continuing to wear his black IU 2024-2025 "Playoffs" quarter zip. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that he continues to wear it because it's symbolic. It's his first year at IU and we went from the worst in the nation to one of the best, all in one year. It also may be because it reminds him to stay humble and hungry because that '24-'25 year we fell short. That was the year we got exposed from our weeknesses and quickly filled those holes in year 2 and you know there rest of the story..... JMO, lol
  11. ....and not to mention all the free Adidas gear, shoes, etc....
  12. .....or mop up minute because IU's starters have blown the game wide open by 20+ pts and it's under 2 minutes. lol
  13. ....hopefully the doctor won't run into your last minute corn on the cob! lol
  14. …. Clint, I mean Coach DeVries to IU Nation right now
  15. ....I know those were Rancik's highlights, but he just looks so comfortable, agressive with good court awareness. He just looks like he's ready to score and plays confident.
  16. He just got there yesterday and is supposed to leave Saturday.....
  17. .....I see Khobie Martin being a complete wrecking ball against defenses this season!
  18. ....we definitely need to land one of these highly coveted, big $$ transfers, then build around. I'm just a little leery and hoping it won't end up like a "Dalton Knecht" type situation again. I know Woodson was a part of that one, but still....... lol
  19. I think so many of these negative posters seem to forget or choosing not to remember that Dolson knew how difficult it was going to be for Coach DeVries to find assistants and build a team late, last year. Speaking on the Don Fischer radio show in March 2026, Dolson commended head coach Darian DeVries for assembling a team under difficult circumstances, noting it was the "craziest time" to take over a program due to the transfer portal environment. “The transition in basketball, it was probably the craziest time... to ever take over a program the way the portal was, so I really commend Darian that we were able to put the roster together to at least get us through this season.” Dolson followed this by expressing confidence that DeVries would "hit his stride" now that the program has a full year of experience under the new staff.
  20. ^^^this! Did ANYONE even expect or see Dolson and President Whitten putting out all that money to put Coach Cignetti at the top of the NCAA pay scale. There is more money or at least the ability to get whatever is needed to pay for what they feel will help and benefit IU athletics.
  21. .....look, money IS going to be there at IU, it always has been, especially if it's worthy of investing for improvements..... (IU Football, Coach Cignetti and his staff say hello!) Dolson and Co. are not going to let IU BB get another late start and end up grabbing scraps at the end just to build a roster. JMO,.... but big money will be spent on this roster. It's funny when people on here try to say that we can't afford or won't pay that amount of money for certain players......! We absolutey have to spend money and probably more than we would like to spend, but that is the current state of competeing as a P5 school right now. IU has a plenty of NIL money and deep pockets, especially after Dolson's '25-'26 comments about supporting CDD and building last year's roster to "get by".....because of time. Dolson's current project is getting IU BB back to the top or at least relevent. Bottom line, money will be spent and definitely thrown at players this year to build a dramatically, BIGTEN worthy team. After that, it's up to Coach DeVries and his staff to bare the fruit. jmo
