(2019) SG Lester Quinones to Memphis
TXHoosierDaddy replied to ap2345's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Memphis is going all out to get top ranked 2020 guard RJ Hampton who just reclassified into the 2019 class. They are in his top four schools. I think this certainly bodes well for Quinones and the fact that we are clearly making him the top priority while they will certainly prioritize Hampton first. -
I thought Rabjohns had written articles showing how we were diverting a lot of $$$ away from sports based on what we are bringing in. He compared McRobbie to the Purdue president and there was a clear difference in philosophies to build successful sports programs. One showed a greater commmitment than the other. Yes, we have improved some facilities but there is no bigger gap than looking at the salary of our football coach to the rest of the BIG and P5 teams in the country.

Just saw on Forrester's IG that he is transferring to Temple.

I can only speculate based on offers but it really seems we put too many eggs in Brooks basket. It really feels like we are scrambling and if Harris doesnt' commit, you can't feel great about Watford or Quinnes. Have to get an impact grad transfer and then maybe pocket the second schollie or get 2 grad transfers? I don't even know which guys we are in on.

(2019) SF Trendon Watford to LSU
TXHoosierDaddy replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Ill take NHL playoffs over NBA playoffs any day. I loved the NBA in the 90's but feel like it has fallen off since I enjoyed the rivalries and they seem to be no more. The quality of coach has also disappeared. It's a new style of run and game and jacking up 3's. I loved the physicality of the 80s and 90s. Probably why I gravitate to NHL now. -
Harris coming to Bloomington this coming Friday and Saturday and then will go to UNC Monday and Tuesday. https://247sports.com/college/indiana/Article/Anthony-Harris-North-Carolina-Indiana-Four-star-2019-recruit-official-visits-131284817/?fbclid=IwAR2dXxi-Fp8N4Z-blyLZwsDXJ64oQtuWlKoAFa7GPdSdHg6jZLYHykSb_N

(2020) PG - Caleb Love
TXHoosierDaddy replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
No mention of IU...guess we are either on the outside or have turned our attention elsewhere. -
There's a couple decent coaches out there now that are circling the drain looking for jobs - Steve Alford, Mike Anderson, Billy Kennedy, Tim Miles, Thad Matta (If he is really looking). Alford might be the best of them. Steve enjoyed the most success at New Mexico. Honestly, I think Nevada is the best out there at the moment. He's been living in the West for a while now. Cinci is another one to watch. American conference so not a lot of big time competition.

Good point but these are 17-18 year old kids and they don't always use the best judgement or think through what they are posting on social media. I think there are a number of scenarios that could be playing out and although this might be factual I am always a little skeptical. -
IUFB Offseason Updates

Yep. I kind of feel like Ramsey is who he is. His ceiling isn't too high. The other guys offer much more intrigue. Let's hope one starts to differentiate come fall. -
IUFB Offseason Updates
TXHoosierDaddy replied to ThompsonHoosier's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Thanks for update. If Ramsey is starting come game 1, it is going to be rather disappointing and I may put us back at 5 wins. Lots of offensive weapons and the defense should take a step forward after last year. -
https://sports.yahoo.com/report-arkansas-to-hire-nevada-coach-eric-musselman-144932120.html?soc_src=social-sh&soc_trk=tw Sounds pretty official. To me, Arkansas, Texas A&M and Nebraska all upgraded coaches significantly this offseason. Those are the big winners.

Exactly. Absolutely 100% no way he has that reaction.

You lost me.

Why even put yourself in that position for the ref to call? On the flip side, if they didn't call that and the team you were rooting for (IU) was the shooter we would be incensed too.

Few has come out in the past saying exactly this. He watched his predecessor, Dan Monson, who first got the Zags relevant go to Minnesota only to fail there. Monson never really recovered and is now at Long Beach State. Few was an assistant under Monson and I think he learned that the grass is not always greener and, therefore, has decided to keep the train rolling at Gonzaga.

Romeo Langford - BCM Gravelines Dunkerque
TXHoosierDaddy replied to Trish's topic in Hoosiers in the Pros
Sure? I don't remember him playing in the Duke game. Actually I am pretty positive he didn't. Unless he had another injury and came back and then broke it. -

DJ White for me! That year with him and Killingsworth was going to be scary for opponents. I believe we had Wilmont, Calloway, Vaden....man could have been a special year and then DJ went and broke his foot in one of the first games of the season. Think that was 2005. -
No way. Go Cards.
-
Exactly. I mean we have no idea what went on behind closed doors or what the dynamic was with him and his teammates. I did see him give minimal effort at certain times and what looked like some pouting when he did not get the ball. His dad kind of validated some of it on twitter. I know other guys like Green had moments like this too. Either grow up and continue to work hard or get out.

2019 Off-Season IU Roster News and Moves
TXHoosierDaddy replied to CrossboneIU22's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I'm not too bummed with Moore and Forrester if we get Brunk for 2 years. He is already ahead of both in terms of development and from what I have seen from TJD he is definitely not a 1 and done. Moore seems a better fit for a mid major just based on his lack of strength. You can tell he wants to be on the perimeter. Forrester is still intriguing to me somewhat but I did find it odd that that Race immediately passed him after all of his issues he dealt with. The guy I wish we had back was Emmitt Holt although I know he would have graduated by now! -
