Making 3.3 million and this is the product he puts in front of us. No quicker way to lose fans than a product that is unwatchable. This one pretty much is. -

And yet it is what we all talked about in the offseason. Everyone thought this could be a major issue but Archie seemed to think otherwise.... -

The fact we go 10 deep is laughable. Franklin, Smith, TJD, Brunk, Phinny. Only guys that should play meaningful minutes. And you have to throw in Green for another ball handler/hope for shooting. The rest of this team adds very little value imo. -

Crean's teams were beyond frustrating but at least he had talent on his roster! These last two years have been worst pile of talent I can remember in some time. -

Green chucking them. Hard to believe thats the best we can get. Also, please get Damezi out. -

Get Damezi out. If he can't shoot he is useless offensively. -

They are also getting second chances quite often so far. -

If only we had good guards. -
They also just had bigger stronger players and that comes from recruiting 4* and 5* athletes. Tenn has plenty of those. It's always going to be a disadvantage on the lines until the recruiting continues to improve. CTA has done a good job of recruting so far so no complaints on that end but Tenn just seemed to have really good athletes. Credit to their coaches as well.

Would be surprised if we win any road games in the BIG unless we start shooting better. At Northwestern would have been nice but its not on the schedule. Feels like for any chance of winning on the road we need 20+ really solid min from Phinny and a good shooting performance from Green. -

A few thoughts on improving next year 1) Need to hire another up and coming or established OC. Internal hire would be a disaster but I don't expect this to happen. 2) CTA needs to work to on his clock management/use of TO's. Wasn't just last night it was a bit of a problem all year. At times, we seems to get so pysched up that he misses key details. Also, we don't need to be icing our kicker ever again. 3) Have to improve the lines. Tenn controlled both lines and they are a middle of the pack SEC team. They were bigger, stronger, quicker. Against good teams in general this year, we failed to run the ball effectively. If we ever want to take a step forward we have to protect the QB better (yes I know we were missing two OL but that's depth) and be more multi dimensional offensively against good teams. 4) Can we axe the prevent defense or whatever that was at the end of the Purdue game and this one? I could have completed those passes over the middle they were wide open for 20+ yards each time. With that said, lots to look forward to. We return every playmaker on offense except for Westbrook. Lots coming back on defense as well. Haven't looked at schedule but another 8 win regular season should be well within reach with the potential for more. Cheers!

I can't see this. I think if Allen had someone lined up internally he would have just thanked Deboer and not had him call plays in the bowl game. I think that speaks volumes about not having confidence that someone on the staff can call plays although maybe it was more of a nice gesture to Deboer.

FG was a 52 yarder so not on him at all. Plus he was basically iced multiple times. The XP hurt but we were still up 13 with 5 minutes to go and allowed them to score twice. The onside kick imo was one of a number of head scratching blunders by CTA on the night. That and piss poor clock management/use of timeouts. He certaintly had a game to forget.

We have to establish something on offense and have prolonged drives. Also, play a pretty clean game with low penalties and TO's as mentioned above. If Tennessee is able to dominate possession their offense will put up lots of points and wear down our D. Their QB has played pretty well on their current 5 game winning streak and they have the receivers capable of beating us for big plays.

Archie needs to fill the briefcase for Mike Smith. He is exactly what we need. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/28167956/college-basketball-transfer-rankings-2020-21-2021-22

I agree he will be gone soon. Players play hard for him and he has assembled a complete roster with great guards and shooters (imagine that). I assume though some are holdovers from Holtmann. Their AD definitely deserves credit for bringing in A+ coaches after every turn and keeping the basketball program as a perennial top 25 team. Would make too much sense for us to look at him!

I'll tell everyone a team that is a treat to watch and that is Butler. Wouldn't be surprised one bit if they make a deep March run. Team plays so well together and Ric Smits son has basically been on the shelf all year. I am very impressed with their coach. Top 20 recruiting class next year too. It is a 6 player class though.
