  1. I don't know it is the NCAA....but yeah hopefully he is blowing them up.
  2. The real story is both QB's were going to be back ups again this year, which was plain as day but Fields did use that to get out of dodge. I haven't seen anything about Utah disputing it and if they do Glass absolutely needs to come out and be vocal about it. I finally see IU beat writers posting the story all over twitter but our administration gets paid the big bucks for a reason and this should be an easy decision for the NCAA and something IU needs to be putting pressure on the NCAA about. Fields and Martell were granted eligibility over a month ago What's the hold up on Tuttle?
  3. I haven't heard anything about Utah disputing it. Tuttle only took part in spring practices last year but never played for the Utes so to me his case is even easier than a guy like Fields who appeared in 12 actual games. Tuttle announced IU in December whereas Fields (Georgia to OSU) and Martell (OSU to Miami) both announced in January. Seems like a major case of favoritism here.
  4. Anyone know why Glass hasn't been vocal on this front at all? Seems like someone should put some pressure on the NCAA rather than keep quiet since this is a huge piece to the IU football puzzle.
  5. I feel like Mullin and Ewing have been disappointing. Ewing 34-29 overall and 14-22 in a not great conference. It does look like he has a few good young players so next year will be big. Mully - 59-73 overall and 20-52 in conference. It's a good thing the bubble was weak this year and he squeeked in. He had a lot of talent with Herron and Ponds on the roster, both of whom will be gone for the NBA after this year. I'm not a big believer in hiring ex- NBA stars to coach. Of course, every once in a while you might find something!
  6. Cronin and Dixon are both at their alma maters. I don't see either one leaving for the bright lights of LA. Honestly, the only one from that list that seems plausible is Watson, whom I am sure many ex-players want to see hired. Shaka may be out of a job after the NIT too.
  7. Numbers can be misleading. People were excited solely based on that without ever seeing the kid play. Kid clearly couldn't play in the Big 10. He just couldn't. I am not even talking shooting. He was a good spot up shooter. But he couldn't guard, rebound, dribble or do anything near the post. It was a miss. We move on but Archie needs to hit on the next one as I wouldn't be surprised if we explore this market again and we surely have some needs to fill still.
  8. The whole thing was just banking on too many unproven pieces that have never contributed at the D1 level. Davis was never going to be 100%. Needed someone to step up there, they didn't or were injured. That was kind of the theme at a number of positions. Hopefully, Archie can sort it out and bring in some more new pieces on top of TJD and Franklin that will fit better.
  9. Everyone knew Davis would be limited. Achilles injuries take time to heal and its more of a two year injury to get back to 100%. The fact we didn't have another option there knowing this is on the staff for not bringing someone in...oh wait they brought in Fizner :)
  10. Texas Tech is a great example of finding grad transfers that can play and fit well with the current makeup. Both Tariq Owens and Matt Mooney are key contributors. I thought Tech would be worse this year than last after losing a few great guards but not the case.
  11. Anyboyd see this? Boy, that would be a heck of a hire for Nebraska.
  12. If things had gone well this year I really think he would be at IU. Unfortunately, Cal keeps rolling and producing 1st round picks. I have no doubt Keion's parents believe he will be exactly that after one year. He probably believes it too.
  13. Right, doesn't one of them have to drive 5.5 hours? I sure as heck wouldn't do completely blind or without a good hunch. Unless, he is like my best friend but even then it seems weird not to have any idea where he is going.
  14. I do as well. TJD and Franklin both going....just seems like they wouldn't bother if it was UK....at least for both of them to attend. Romeo may not have had the year some imagined but he is still a projected lotto pick. I don't think Brooks feelings about IU changed this year and I don't think he would be concerned about going to IU and not having a chance to drafted as high as if he went to UK.
  15. Don't care about the CB predictions, they have certainly been wrong before. It's not a completely overwhelming turn of the tide like some so I still think there is some guessing and not great info out there. I think he picks IU.
  16. NC State isn't any better other than this win. I think they should have to beat Virginia with their horrible SOS but just me.
  17. Clemson getting screwed. The whistles by the refs in the last 3 minutes have been atrocious. Refs literally giving it to NC State.
  18. I would also throw in Avery Johnson is starting to take some heat at Bama. If they miss the tourney this year which they likely will unless they can get a few wins in the SEC tourney his seat could be warm.
  19. Big games this week that IU fans should care about since these teams are all right on the bubble. Wofford vs UNCG - Tonight St. Johns vs Depaul - Wed, March 13 NC State vs Clemson - Wed March 13 (both squarely on the bubble) TCU vs Okie State - Wed March 13th Texas vs KU - Thur, March 14th Florida vs Arkansas - Thur, March 14th Bama vs Ole Miss - Thur, March 14th Creighton Vs. Xavier - Thur, March 14th Arizona St. vs UCLA/Stanford - Thur, March 14th Utah St. vs New Mexico/Wyoming - Thur, March 14th Temple vs ECU/Wich St - friday, March 15th Buffalo winning their tournament
  20. On Belmont i disagree. Having watched them play I know they could do better if given the opportunity against Q1 teams. Are they better than IU, nope not recently. Are they better than Texas, TCU, St Johns, Florida or Clemson. I think so. They had to play a lottery pick to make the tourney and lost. That is the only mid major I would let in that didn't get the auto berth outside of Wofford/Buffalo. They all pass the eye test and I want the best 64 teams in.
  21. Thanks it was from March 9th so might have been a tad outdated. I still don't understand why they are in over us but this week will play itself out anyways in a lot of these first round tournament matchups.
  22. For a second I legit thought he was talking about our 4 game winning streak and got really excited....then I realized the decision date being that far away. Still I am optimistic it could mean both! Haha
  23. Yes but they get KU in what will basically be a home game for KU since it's in Kansas City. Can't love UT's chances with Roach possibly being rusty, having no momentum and playing basically a road game. I think they will play themselves out and Shaka's seat will get pretty hot since this is a must win.
  24. Can anyone please explain to me how Lunardi still has Texas in and us out? Texas - 16-15 (NET: 52, SOS: 20, 6-11 v Q1, 8-14 v Q1/2, 0 bad L's and 1-4 in last 5) IU - 17-14 (NET: 50, SOS: 38, 6-9 v Q1, 8-14 v Q1/2, 0 bad L's, 5 and 4-1 in last 5) Tougher SOS for UT but one team is on the rise and one is falling fast. Plus they have an extra loss. I don't know how you say they are a better team in the field of 64
  25. I agree and really hope they get in but I doubt they will.
