  1. We’re still getting to know each other too! That one, after Penn St. was egregious!
  2. Let’s be logical… It would have been negligent for Dolson to NOT have at least lightly back-channeled new coaching interest after the Penn State loss. It would be completely reckless for him NOT to be aggressively back-channeling after tonight. If Quinn’s got Scotty’s wings clipped, there’s a time in everyone’s life where they have to stand up for themselves. Otherwise you lose your dignity and self worth. And, Kroger’s hiring managers!
  3. Mike Woodson says Mike Woodson’s knee is starting to give him trouble again.
  4. AD malpractice…seriously!!
  5. Let me paraphrase…Mike Woodson says Mike Woodson DGAF, and Mike Woodson wants his money!
  6. This, plus the Miller pre-NIL ‘recruiting prowess’…it was assumed Archie could swim in the same ponds as Sean did if at an equally historic program — until the cover came off of that ball for Sean — and all of a sudden, being a bro became a major liability v an asset! But, AZ handled the dysfunction time masterfully…and when they were ready, pre-lined up the sourness on Miller, used his issues to limit buyout liability- and already had their guy (Tommy Lloyd) lined up. That kind of maneuvering requires an AD who can play chess and make big time maneuvers (Greg Byrne - now at Alabama, and then Dave Heeke). Neither were AZ guys, just power brokers in major college athletics. Our athletic department comparatively seems to always be run by in-house guys who can’t get out of their own way.
  7. Sorry folks, circumstance calls for dusting this one off the shelf. Whether he’s made the choices, or just been Quinn’s puppet…there’s certainly some culpability to be owned here! Obvious ‘opportunities’: 1) re-upping Tom Allen especially w/the huge buy-out … and then things collapse when we lose Deboeur, Womack, McCullough and the rest of what’s now Alabama’s staff. - 15 to 20MM. Is his job to know who/what is responsible for driving success…and what isn’t. 2) hiring woody w/zero college experience and out of head coaching in the nba for 10+ yrs. -12.5M 3) agreeing to $1M raise for woody for making the tourney. I hope TJD got some of that b/c clearly he carried the deficiencies for 2 yrs. -$3 M. No one was looking to poach woody. This is big business, and the CEO is clearly failing. Pam needs to show she’s got expectations too, or we’ll continue to wallow in mediocrity.
  8. And Malik is gonna hop right on board and ride that bus to his next team…via the portal!
  9. Ok, it’s clearly time for a Woody intervention! Let’s soften him up to go easy on the buy-out.
  10. CJ’s auditioning for the portal!
  11. Armon’s on the bench, tapping Kenya on the shoulder…’when’s the next pay day?’. All aboard the tank train!!
  12. Calbert’s on the bench looking like…’what did I agree to come back to this mess for’. let the tank train roll on!!!
  13. But their average hours of sleep was top 3 in KenPom!!
  14. Team didn’t show significant or consistent difference when X was playing versus when he’s been out. All things point to significant turnover, and only McNeely coming in. Could Woody step up his portal game and hit a home run filling guards, shooters and other system deficiencies…sure. Is it likelier than not to get a complete roster w/talent required for success… No. Is there a lot of confidence in the system he runs? No. The current trajectory screams change NOW, bring in a winner with experience and success. Putting things off and trying again next year presents much greater risk than reward. New B1G contract money should help overcome some of the financial obstacles. Woody’s esteemed peers can work an intervention to overcome the pride issues and create a soft, amicable ‘retirement’ landing plan. The administration is quickly facing a decision point where it will be required to show its cards as to where its true commitment level is at regarding men’s basketball. Last time round, Dolson got crossed-over/ankles broken by BS and or others, thus bringing us to today. Gene Smith didn’t have trouble quickly deciding things at OSU to set the table for a potentially brighter future. We’ll know where this goes within a few weeks. Struggling programs rely on future hope to get through the rough patches. If they run this back next year and fail, any glimmer of said hope will be be depleted to a level perhaps not seen before. If the admin shows it isn’t serious, it will be very tough for the fans to be.
  15. My bad, tough to keep track of all those goofy Boiler 7 footers!
  16. Isn’t he the one who knowingly spread syphilis around campus like apple butter, and then got sued for it by many of his victims? I would say that makes him feel intimately a part of the Purdue family!! Syphilis you keep for your long livens, that sounds like a solid family commitment to me.
  17. We can build a big bronze bridge in front of SSAH, with Woody walking across..Biggie crown on his head…put a huge speed bump in the center of the bridge — ‘the inevitable hump’ and have a statue of Armon sitting in a comfortable chair on the other side—napping of course! Finally, it seems perfectly reasonable to negotiate the commission for said statue out of Woody’s $12M buyout.
  18. It’s Indiana…It’s Indiana!
  19. Complete and utter embarrassment! Woody needs to do the right thing and step down gracefully - leave w/some dignity and good will. He’s brought in around $15M in 3 yrs…that seems pretty fair to me. The train is off the rails. Beyond terrible results, the system looks dysfunctional on both offense and defense. Not going to get many high level kids signing up for that. The time for change is now.
  20. Revving up the Wishful Tank Train…to force Dull-son’s hand! Sadly, a ride this fan base has been forced to take all too often!!
  21. Woody says ‘hold my wine n cigar’…if he’s back next year, still scraping the barrel for serviceable guards/shooters, n Ware, Reneau and MM bolt.
  22. How much is the buyout for the 4 yr lopsided court advantage Kentucky series we just signed up for? Just asking for a friend who needs a W more than $$$. With buyouts, we may be the biggest contributor to KY education - ever. At least it’s going to a very needy cause!!
  23. If it only takes 1,100 pages, easy to create AI bot code to accelerate this FMer with unique comments real quick! Just say the word peeps!
  24. I think he watches Armond napping on the bench next to him, and thinks ‘hmmm…that seems kinda nice!’
