How long until till the Izzo infantile super rant at the refs…seems like he’s holding back for the 2nd half?

Agree…maybe should add QB to the list of those who they should be succession planning for too! If he’s presumably the BOT lead for athletics, his batting average is mid at best.

I think he’s clearly in over his head, was Glass’s hand picked successor, and brought all the experience of fund raising for the Varsity Club - rah IU! Sure he’s an IU lifer…but for AD, you need someone who sees athletics as a hyper competitive business - and is experienced and willing to do and deal what it takes to be successful. I just don’t think Dolson’s that guy. Could’ve had Pat Kraft…who had direct experience, and is now at Penn St. Would be irresponsible to move on Dolson w/out being pretty darn sure who the next guy is. But, if BOT is not actively in the process of at least hypothetical succession planning for Allen, Woody and Dolson…it’s a bit of dereliction of duty. Maybe they’re just content w/mediocrity in good years in rev generating sports…and happy to keep cashing that B1G tv contract $$.

Dude is a fundraiser, not a professional AD…could have had Pat Kraft (now AD at Penn State) - who knows how to operate. Instead, mediocrity on a good day!

I would like to compliment BTN for not forcing Bardo on us for the game call - except for commentary at the half - in the studio! A much easier mute! He’s insufferable and hates IU…still resents getting lit up!

Seriously, student announcers are soo much better than some of the lazy garbage BTN serves up during the regular season (cough cough, Bardo, Morris, Katz, etc.). Hummel is the best thing out of Purdue since John Glenn.

Huge game for Tom Allen, and the near term prospects of the program! It’s not like Nebraska/Northwestern Scott Frost huge… But, Illinois - a very likely bottom quartile team in the B1G - at home, after a free preview of Illini from their game last week - is critical. Likely to play a huge role in setting the trajectory for the season…and will show TA and staff’s game day strategy/game planning chops - which after last year, have a lot to prove. Let’s GO!!

Surprise, MSU player continues legacy of abuse against women. Definitely something missing in the teaching of life lessons, and creating honorable men from Izzo. Makes me sick when he is so grossly lionized by the pundits!

Payne was a mixed bag...as at least a handful of players at MSU have been. Seems Izzo has gotten a major pass by media and college basketball pundits for a lot of the negative that has gone on under his program. In the worst case, he appears to have helped facilitate covering up and turning a blind eye - in the best, he could have done/do a lot better at building and/or recruiting character among young men.
