  1. I honestly still can't believe how little Hartman contributed this year. Has anyone ever seen a worse regression?
  2. Well Vandy just assured itself of its first ever 20 loss season. Anchor down!
  3. So if this was played 100,000 times...Rutgers might win once. Sounds about right.
  4. So a 0.25% chance of winning? I think our odds are higher than that.
  5. Haha glad to hear Nebraska fans have it figured out.
  6. I love all the posters taking the time to post that people care too much. We are all posting on a message board talking about college basketball. It has no effect on anything and probably puts us in the top 1% of caring. It’s like a crackhead telling someone they do too much meth.
  7. I hope that is somewhat self deprecating since you’ve posted at least 10 times in this thread.
  8. I will admit that my thoughts have changed a bit since earlier on in the thread since I have a better understanding of how the seating works now. I went at the same time as Aaron, when all games were assigned and 2/3 of them were in the balcony. But even then there were always a good number of people in the balcony. So I'm coming around that the students' attendance is pretty sad. However, one way in which my thoughts have not changed is that alumni will never fill up the balcony seats. I've done well enough since I've left IU that if I am going to go to a game, I will pay 100-150 dollars to sit in seats that don't suck, and I think that would describe most alumni. I could see situations where alumni wanting to bring their family would opt to sit up there, but that is not going to consistently fill it up. Anyone know what students pay for tickets these days? I ask because when I went they were somewhere in the range of $250 - $300 which was over twice as much as I paid for season tickets to all sports at UT (Texas) 5 years later. Maybe the administration knows that even if the students don't show up, they will make more money allocating balcony seats to students than if they tried to sell them to the general public.
  9. I think that is dependent on your perception of good.
  10. Let’s go razorbacks!
  11. Jumped to 55th in adjusted defense on KenPom https://kenpom.com/
  12. What an awesomely fun game to watch. Was it just me though or did the bench seem a little dour at times, even as we were making play after play?
  13. I wasn't expecting to see a stat line of 4 points, 3 turnovers and 3 fouls after reading this.
  14. Honestly when are these people going to learn? They almost always give Kentucky a top 3-5 ranking based purely on potential and they hardly ever live up to it.
  15. So Al Durham is 0-15 on his last 15 threes. Including today's game, he hasn't made one in 14 straight games, despite attempting one in 11 of them.
  16. So there has to be a reason that scouts perceive him where they do. What are Phinisee's perceived weaknesses? I assumed it was athleticism, but when I watched some highlight videos I was impressed by how easily he could get up and dunk. Lacks elite speed and quickness?
  17. If it was the version of Hartman that could make a 3 I may agree, but honestly he hasn't done much for us lately besides miss wide open shots.
  18. Even if he is back, he will miss all preaseason workouts/practice. Best case he is fully up to speed by conference season.
  19. Sucks watching Kyle Guy play well for UVA. Anyone think he would have been a Hoosier if Archie was the coach?
  20. The entirety of the student allotment is first come first serve?
  21. I’m not a student by a long shot so why don’t you cool it a bit. Sports are about entertainment and there is no logical argument to the contrary. I would not at all be opposed to dropping the student allotment. Give them less seats but overall better ones. People always talk about how many tickets students get but rarely talk about how bad the average seat is. And alumni are not going to fill the bleacher seats. It’s just not going to happen.
  22. Spoken like someone who probably went to IU when they were good. It is not the students’ job to go to games. In the end, sports are about entertainment and students will go when they value that entertainment more than the alternatives. This team lost at home by a combined 40 points to teams ranked 118 and 177 by Ken Pom, effectively destroying both any sort of momentum and its chances of making the tournament. This team has no one to blame but themselves for lack of student support.
  23. Unless something changed with the renovation, the bleacher seats are awful. Non students would not fill those seats consistently either.
  24. Super happy we pulled this one out. But can someone please tell me why Durham continues to play?
