  1. Yea WTF...they literally had 2 guys unblocked.
  2. I don’t mean this to be mean-spirited, but your sentiment comes off as a little ironic considering how often you post in threads about where these recruits are going.
  3. As long as IU ends up being his 1, I don't really care how he gets there.
  4. As far as chemistry goes, I think it helps that Romeo likely isn't going out of his way to chase attention. Of course I could be wrong on that, but I don't think I am. I know it's easy for us to make assumptions about player personality and character (often times because we want to assume the best), but absolutely everything I've read about Romeo is that he is very down to earth, level-headed, and ultimately fairly quiet. He reminds me a bit of Eric Gordon with his demeanor. I met EG a few times at parties in college and he was a very laid back dude.
  5. But she wasn't automatically believed, a school panel reviewed the case. It seems as if your point is that the few cases of false accusations should lead to schools having the same burden of proof as court systems. IMHO that is bogus as getting kicked out of school is nothing compared to 15 years in jail. I'll see your "what if it was your son being falsely accused" and raise with what if it was your daughter being raped? Good riddance Morgan Ellison.
  6. That's the problem though, she is too drunk to make a decision. By your logic a girl could pass out drunk in her own bed, a guy could follow her in and have sex with her while she is sleeping, and it would be her fault to getting too drunk. We're obviously not going to agree so I will stop here.
  7. Well technically she wouldn't have the faculties to consent in that situation, but proving that she was unable to consent in a court of law is very difficult. Again to me it comes down to right and wrong. There are enough women at IU who aren't blacked out drunk and more than willing to have sex that this shouldn't happen. If you are the guy preying on the drunkest girl at the party, again you are a scumbag.
  8. Which is why I said may not hold up in a court of law. But if a girl is drunk to the point of blacking out, I don't care if she wasn't resisting or appeared to be going along with it. There is still a difference between right and wrong. Even if a court wouldn't technically brand you a rapist, I wouldn't want you wearing an IU jersey.
  9. What do you consider proof? It sounds to me like the girl is claiming she was blacked out when he (allegedly) assaulted her. It probably wouldn't hold up in a court of law, but if you are having sex with girls that are that drunk then you are a scumbag.
  10. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.indystar.com/amp/1513037002 Determined by IU panel to be guilty of sexual assault. Suspended from all IU campuses for 2.5 years.
  11. I have to admit, I don't understand this sentiment. He averaged almost 20 points a game on a fairly talented team, and there really aren't many things that he doesn't do well. Probably undersized to be successful in the NBA as he isn't really a point guard, but he is an outstanding college player.
  12. He had just missed his 2nd wide open receiver, both sure touchdowns and we were down 14-3. If you hope to beat a team like OSU you have to make those throws. Obviously he has played pretty well since.
  13. Ramsey ain’t it. Edit: Of course since my stream is behind we score right after I post that. Posted that after missing that 2nd deep throw
  14. I asked for a PM awhile ago and no one bit, but I did read on one board or another that someone thought it was related to a potential domestic assault.
  15. Why is he not starter material? What are the skills that he lacks? Or is it that he is solid but doesn't have any elite skills? Isn't overly athletic? I'm genuinely curious as I have never seen him play. I ask because I feel like it was practically gospel for months that Rob was underrated and would be a major contributor this year. I'm also curious if Old Friend has seen him play at all since he's been at IU.
  16. I don't think this should be taken as an indication regarding the likelihood of McRoberts starting. I think he is one the hardest working and scrappiest players we have but probably also one of the quietest (based on his demeanor, could be wrong). I think naming him captain gives him both the onus and legitimacy to be more of a vocal leader. It would make it easier for him to take on a leadership role if he's not starting, tbh.
  17. Yogi lit up the Suns for 26 off the bench in the Kings win last night..
  18. Huge fan of this. I think not having captains was a mistake by Crean. The team settings I've worked in where there is no clear leader don't tend to go very well as no one truly has a feeling of ownership.
  19. Well when you have acting skills like Penny, do you really need to know how to coach? How the committee robbed him of an Oscar for Blue Chips...I will never understand.
  20. I'm really excited but not more than 2012. Multiple analysts that saw us practice that preseason said we were the best team in the country. I thought we were going to win a championship that year. Plus coming off the wat shot the previous year...I hope I get to that level of excitement again.
  21. Yea difficult to say he really stands out. He lacks elite ball handling skills and an explosive first step. Love his quick hands though.
  22. In the podcast from Monday, Miller said Phinisee will be a terrific point guard in the Big Ten "in his time" and that he will "have a window to contribute this year." Obviously CAM is not a hype guy but that comment isn't something that makes me think he is going to come in right away and get significant playing time.
  23. I have never done this before, but will someone PM me about what he was rumored to do? I figured it would be out in the open by now and am pretty curious.
