FWIW……According to Scout the offer list is much better than what we used to compete with. He has been offered by Florida State, Auburn, OSU, Colorado, MSU, West Va, UNC, Missouri, Boston College, Minny, etc. Also has mid-major offers from Toledo and Purdue.

I don’t know what we are going to do at the center position but do know I’m blown away with the our OL foundation for next year. Lynch, Carter, Evans, Brunner, Ajani…..Yes please and thank you !!! -

I agree and Becker and the returning OL dudes -
Ha, I will give him credit for admitting he was wrong but he was reading his notes as if he was delivering an eulogy..LOL We already know what his tune will be next year. SEC is the toughest league. Missouri, Vandy and Tennessee will be an unbelievable gauntlet while Iowa, USC and Washington are below average ho hum teams, etc etc.

In my case part of the unfair “challenge” for DeVries is that after 10 years of terrible basketball, which followed a number of mediocre years sprinkled in with Cody, I have reached the breaking point. Our past history is not DeVries fault but it certainly is a major factor in my declining interest. Man, I wish/hope the program can get some mojo back as for nearly my entire life IU basketball was easily my number 1 sport and I considered The Hall to be the most electric venue in the country. But now…….?

I am in the same boat. Was going to fly to The Hall to catch a game. Flights (2 of us), rental car, hotel, meals, tickets would have been in the 2k range. That money is now staying in my pocket ( it is coming out of my pocket later this year for either the OSU or USC home football game..). Hopefully this works out. In order for DD to be successful two of the most important things are for him to succeed at roster construction and having the cash to build the desired roster. I’m not confident but am hopeful.

The other site is saying there is a good chance we are going to lose Lynch (a Texas native) to Texas. Hope that doesn’t happen as I don’t want to lose an OL. -

Great clip. To me “the spin” was an equally great, or perhaps greater, move than “the dive”. It was amazing how he spun out after getting crunched. Total determination!! -
Strength Coach Derek Owings to Tennessee

I wonder why $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ he would leave. It’s kind of a $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ mystery. Hate to see him go but I would much rather replace the s&c guy than having to replace both the DC and OC like Oregon. The percentage of assistants we have retained (knock on wood we keep the rest) is amazing/impressive. -

I retract my statement. I briefly glanced at the headline that a Texas guy wanted to come to IU and incorrectly assumed he was a portal RB from a college in Texas. I would take him as the hs recruit he is in a second. Hope we land him. -

I thought he would leave all season and was shocked when it sounded as though he was returning. Alberto would have backed up Hoover all season, not gotten many reps, and would have then sat behind the next experienced transfer, with thousands of yards on tape, the following season. Who knows, as others have said, perhaps Alberto will be the guy that puts up thousands of yards next season and then ends up back at IU. In any case, best of luck to him. -

Too many frivolous posts tonight. It’s time to seriously break down this IU team vs the 1894 Yale team. Let’s discuss. -
