Gunn really benefiting from the development under Woody.

I could be wrong but from I’ve read it sounds as if the top ranked BT team, as long as they are a top 4 “bye team”, will be assigned to the Rose Bowl.

Galloway touts Texas AM body of work. They have beaten ND by a point (on the road, I’ll give them that), 2 non-conference nobodies and then SEC wins against Auburn, Ms State, Florida, Arkansas and LSU all of whom are bad. I’d put at Iowa and Oregon, plus Illinois win at home, above what AM has done.

Myles Rice……. Man, last year we endured an unbelievably forgettable team. I’m trying to just flush it and move on.

Based on Fickells performance as the interim OSU coach and then the Cincinnati HC I thought he was a home run hire for Wisconsin. You just never know.

If games had properly been assigned according to seeding last year IU would have hosted Boise State rather than traveled to ND…!!!! That would have been sweet.

Last year Saban commented that he would not want the first round bye as he thought it was too much time between games.

This is a very bad year for Auburn, and other schools, to be looking for a new coach. TONS of openings, with few “hot” names = a lot of massively disappointed fan bases. Going to be fun to watch the coaching carousel (except the part in which schools come after our coaches)

To your point. In Allen’s last three years IU won a TOTAL of 3 Big Ten games! (0 wins, 2 wins and then 1 win in his final season) !!
-
To think some of their fans were worried PSU would go after him is laughable. Reminds me of IU fans worrying we would lose Allen to one of the Florida schools.

Yes but beating ranked teams carries some weight and since every 1 and 2 loss SEC team gets ranked they play in a lot of “ranked” games. The fact that IU winning at Iowa was not a ranked victory is a joke when you see, as an example, a team like TN ranked 14th (their 3 SEC wins were against teams 0-13 in the conference prior to today). It is what it is but the positive is that while the 1/2 loss BT teams get little respect IU doesn’t really have any (so far) complaints.

Paul F probably popped a boner (with chemical assistance) as 5th ranked Georgia heroically held on to beat a sub-500 team, with a fired coach, at a neutral site. #SEC gauntlet !!!!!!
