  1. Would be great if he left ND for the traditional power in Bloomington. Would love a couple quality additions on the OL (and DL). We all saw, once again, the overwhelming importance of the trenches. EDIT: just read he is a NC native and there is speculation he will go to Tennessee.
  2. I’m with you in that I want IU to win every game. The thing that has changed with me, however, is that losses don’t really bother me anymore as I view them as one more nail in the coffin.
  3. It is a crazy year. I have viewed Minnesota as absolutely putrid but in their last two games they have beaten Michigan and then won at Iowa. Would have bet everything I own that they wouldn’t win both of those games.
  4. Woodson needs to go but we beat Minnesota, who is beating Iowa, and MN Is the only BT team to beat Michigan so far. So your point is???
  5. The last two weeks of the regular season, watching teams jockey to get into the playoff, was more exciting than most of the actual playoff games.
  6. Retirement must really be stress-free for Saban. He is so relaxed his hair is getting darker and darker. Getting close to Coach K level.
  7. Yeah, Can’t imagine his desire to attend IU is because of Woodys approach/scheme with wing players. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Sisley family is hoping Woody is fired/retired/pushed out.
  8. As you said NW is 9-1 at home. They have beaten Illinois and Maryland at home while losing to MSU. Torvik only gives us a 33% chance of winning with NW being favored by 4. Will be surprising to see us get 2 BT road wins in a row. Although it will feel like I’m going to work, rather than something fun to look forward too, I’ll be watching as always.
  9. Northwestern gave UM all they could handle (OT) at Michigan and Torvik only gives IU a 33% chance of winning but I’m dumb enough to predict: IU-76 NW - 71
  10. The calls in MSU’s favor were a joke. Illini PG fouls out in 9 minutes of play. LOL. The flagrant 2 against Northwestern in the at UM game was also a joke. BT refs wear me out. So, so inconsistent.
  11. I also saw Woody and Buckner play in person (while at IU) so I compartmentalize their playing and administrative careers into two separate buckets. Both were great players (Woody had a really sweet bank shot), and I still view them that way, but on the other hand both are absolutely terrible in their current roles. I understand why younger posters, who never saw them play, don’t see it that way. Kind of how I view Michael Jordan…stupendous player but a horrible owner/administrator. Doesn’t diminish my opinion of him as a player.
  12. Goode really stepped up. While his social media battle is stupid he has clearly been very invested in trying to get W’s all year and, after a horrible start, his shots have been falling. Most of the game was ugly but I’ll give the guys credit for not folding the tent after the last two losses. Yes, I realize “this is their job and that is what they are supposed to do” but it still would not have surprised me if they had just rolled over. The program/team has been an absolute mess under Woody but I will give him some credit for not starting Gallo and having MM ride the pine for all of crunch time. Tonight reinforced why I don’t bet these days. Across several sites, prior to tip-off, I read a number of “easy money” posts. Didn’t work out too well.
  13. The recruiting at their level is in a different universe than ours (and most programs) I know it’s “not all about the stars” but when you stack 55 four/five stars I like your odds to have a good team. Do 4/5 stars guarantee wins? Certainly not but the odds of success are enhanced.
  14. Goode cares, is the most vocal guy on the court and plays hard. He has to know he is stuck with a crappy coach and was interviewed after being booed (for good reason) in the stadium that he dreamed of playing. Has to hurt. What he said, after a game and atmosphere like tonight, doesn’t bother me at all. For years athletes/teams/coaches in many sports have made “its us against the world” types of comments when their backs were against the wall.
  15. If Dolson was indeed overruled I disagree that he should be fired.
  16. My guess is that they are thinking about possibly thinking.
  17. The way he kept his starters in it seemed as though the size of his bonus increased as the point spread increased.
  18. I’ll bet there is a chance he gets terminated if we get blown out in both of the upcoming road games. The administration might want to avoid the booing, fire Mike Woodson chants etc that would occur at the Maryland home game (and after that we go to PU and Wiscy…LOL). If we split the two road games, however, he will probably cling on. The wheels HAVE to be turning in Bloomington. We will see.
  19. I thought the odds of a mid-season termination were very low but if we get smoked in our next two games, both road games, things are so toxic that the administration might not want him coaching another home game. Lose at OSU and NW by 20 or so….who knows, he might get fired.
  20. My interest level for the next game would dramatically increase if there was a halftime cage match between Woody and the sleeping guy on the bench.
  21. Worst IU loss ever at the Hall was 32 points. Our warriors said NO WAY as they bravely battled to only lose by 25 as Gallo and Leal hit their typical meaningless end of game threes.
  22. Come on refs. Just make a decision (the correct decision would be to invoke the mercy rule and just tell everyone to go home).
  23. Per a TDH article from 2017, a 32 point home loss to Wisconsin in 2010 is the biggest home margin of defeat in IU history Above is a quote from another site. Woody is very close to adding to his legacy.
  24. So is Woody going to say we have to get over the hump and need to get X back?
