In the entire NCAA the four players that have fallen off the most are MR, Rice, Carlyle and Gallo. At least we are #1 in something.

Lots of Buzz Williams chatter. One a positive note, if we hire Buzz, at least I won’t have to worry about having heart issues due to being overly excited.

While rumors will certainly float around about the coaching search there is ZERO chance Dolson officially lists who he went after and who turned him down. It would be nutty/stupid for him to do that. Can you imagine getting hired only to have your boss put out a list that said “We went after Bill,, Bob, Mary, Joe, Frank and Katie but, after being turned down, we had to settle on SlammySammy. Not going to happen.

You aren’t necessarily heading into “retirement”. If Dolson makes the wrong hire there will be an opportunity for a new thread with a record number of posts…..

Yea, Since Dusty will be “in the Hall” tomorrow I’m very surprised we haven’t heard anything. The administration must know that’s it’s going to be fugly in the Hall Saturday without an announcement stating Woody is gone (either immediately or at the end of the season). For the good of the program pull the friggin trigger!!!

Approximately 11 hours ago I read some posts and assumed Woody was going to be forced out. Just got home, spent time reading 800+ more posts but yet have the exact same opinion. LOL Didn’t learn much of anything, except for seeing Few’s name mentioned (on a side note I’m older than Few but he is 62….At the risk of being agist I’d prefer a guy that kills it for the next 15 years) but, in spite of that, I’ll read the next 800 posts.

Thanks for saving me from wasting my time. However I would recommend, as I posted on a football thread, their interview with Kamara who is an interesting, smart guy. His takes on Cig, college football today etc are worthwhile.

Very wired-in sources have told me that Marty Simmons is driving to Bloomington at this very moment.

In Woodys head the fans will only be chanting “we want Dusty” because Woody already announced his retirement so IU needs a new coach. I’m very happy, but not surprised, that they are making the move today as I didn’t think Dolson/Pam/donors/BOT would want the Michigan game optics of “Fire Woodson” chants in combination with Dusty being in the building. The timing of the UM game was perfect for “encouraging” the powers to act.

I’ll bet Woody also won’t get boo’d, and the “Fire Woodson” chants will disappear, if everyone knows he is retiring at the end of the season.

I understand that the HH guys have “quirks”, which sour people, but they do produce some interesting interviews. In addition to Mendoza I recommend their interview with Kamara. He is a very engaging, smart guy. It’s interesting to hear some of his comments about Cig. He is obviously a fan but mentions that Cigs “public persona” at IU is totally different than what Kamara encountered at JMU. The beauty of the podcast is that you can fast forward through the HH banter and just listen to the interview. To the HH’s credit they do ask good questions.
