  1. Great read, thanks for sharing.
  2. Alright, I had to go look at Northwestern's schedule......they got beat by Southwood. That has to be a typo?
  3. I never said they did , never said they didn't, and never said it was.
  4. Quite an accomplishment for a sophomore...no matter what high school you play at.
  5. Evidently, you have forgotten about inter-league play. AL pitchers get a chance to bat during the year. The AL teams also get a chance to play games under NL strategy. The point being is that the AL teams have a DH on their roster. NL teams don't.
  6. Exactly. The AL has built their teams with a DH in mind. The NL teams have not. It helped the Cubs against the Tribe because they had Schwarber. I alluded earlier that the Reds are set up for the DH as well right now.
  7. Conversely, AL teams get burnt when an injury occurs to one of their position players.
  8. It was just last year. Reds pitcher Michael Lorenzen hit 3 homers in one week including a slam. They used him as a pinch hitter quite a bit last year. Now they are working on making him a positional player as well. Strategy indeed. I love it.
  9. I am pretty sure it took Boeheim 11 years to get to the FF.
  10. Agree...Collins should have left when his star was shining. Now Chambers, I don't know what Penn St. wants/expects from their basketball program. Now Miles, that is the one. Nebraska put a lot of money into their basketball facilities. That tells me they want to compete at a national level.
  11. I like them....but I chuckled at adding the DH this year. All I could think about was Schwarber with the Cubs. Then I thought my Reds are set up for it as well. The rest of the NL teams I have no idea about.

  13. My apologies, I didn't see you had started a new thread. Collins is an interesting one for sure. He has the genes and the pedigree. I don't know about his seat getting warm. But I can see him leaving at the end of the season.
  14. I am still trying to figure out why Collins is still at NW. He has to have had offers or contacts from other schools? Or maybe he is like Fitzgerald?
  15. They haven't been for a very long time.
  16. This how I see it. Knight was a winner for us. His record speaks for itself. But he started giving the school "black eyes". If he wasn't doing it on the court, he was doing it off the court. The IU admins got sick of it...fired. Sean Miller and Bill Self are both walking the fine line. Negative publicity is not a good thing. We can talk NCAA, and their idiocy, all we want. But their employers have say in all this. Neither University will have a problem finding another coach. Just my thoughts.
  17. Johnny and Hadji say he is.....haven't heard anything from Dr. Quest.
  18. Thanks for the info ray. Glad you got your tickets. Enjoy yourself and I want a very detailed report of what you see! LOL
  19. I wouldn't be too sure about that and it might just not be the NCAA either.
  20. Good luck with the tickets. I had to look up to see how big Burris' gym was.......1,500. Wow.
  21. What in the heck is wrong with West Virginia?
  22. Sooners up 10 on Iowa St. 10 minutes to go in the 1st.

  24. That is a good one......beer is all over my screen.
  25. You can have your breast. I am having "Green Eggs and Ham". I try to stay on topic!!!!!! LOL
