Marquette with Shaka was probably not a "cupcake" in the true sense, but we still have several more on the schedule besides the two we've played (AAMU and UWM)... but the fact that we are not squeaking by the cupcakes and playing down to their level is somewhat satisfying. DeVries has them playing their game irrespective of the opponents' talent level. We're averaging 100 points per game (99.667), hitting tons of 3s, and have over 70 assists through the first three games. There's plenty of room for improvement, but this team is fun to watch, and it's clear that they are growing into their respective roles.

I remember one of RMK's goals for the perfect game was to make more FTs that the opponents shot. We won tonight, 19-18.

The current report says that he is dealing with a "lower-body injury". Cignetti said that Evans will be out for a period of time. The exact nature of the injury has not been disclosed., but it sounds more "legit" than "precautionary". Evans had previously missed the end of the 2024 season due to an Achilles injury... not sure if this is related to that or not. HIPAA gets in the way of us knowing the actual truth.
