Not sure how you blame Marshall for some of the injuries, like Johnson's elbow or Malik's foot (got stepped on) or even Ware's ankle...

The real issue with Woodson is that he can't coach less than a team of 5 star players... and he cannot build a roster of supporting players to augment the 5 star players that is does manage to get... so we have a roster with zero quality P5/B1G caliber guards.

I don't disagree, but it's not gonna happen. Woodson just needs to face the reality that he's in over his head and needs to just go away... too stubborn, and his ego is too big for that... but no matter how much it's warranted, it will never happen. IU has, once again, screwed itself over... putting Buckner in charge of the BOT and putting a neutered puppet in the AD's office...

Absolutely NO on Alford... and the "must be an IU guy" has been an epic failure... can we please move on from that? Woody is the consummate "IU guy" - was here 40 years ago, and he brought 40-year-old culture and playing style to IU... just no thanks.

NO on Musselman. Drew would be good, but he's not coming. Beard may be able to fix this, but the admin will never even make the call... Scherz is interesting, but still a bit of an unknown with something to prove. And add Dusty to the list.

Woodson needn't be fired... but Buckner needs to step up and have a "come to Jesus" meeting with Woodson... and convince him to quit. Whatever it takes, Woodson needs to be done TODAY. Save face if necessary, just get Woodson the h### out of here.

Indeed... no serviceable guards, no real senior leadership... and a coach who cannot construct a decent roster...

and she basically serves at the pleasure of Buckner as head of the BOT. The bad decisions here go all the way to the top of the pyramid. And that is not changing.

Ideally Dolson would grow a pair and make a great hire. The reality is that the power structure in place dictates that the BOT, lead by Buckner has the authority to hire whomever they (he) chooses... which is how we got here in the first place... and I don't see any scenario where (1) this crap-tastic experiment continues for another year or two, and (2) whoever the next hire is will have the same distorted view of who's the best candidate.

Unfortunately, you speak truth... it's better to be protected than qualified.

Yeah, I'd argue that the continued crappy on-the-floor product would indicate that (1) it didn't happen, (2) it didn't register with Woodson, or (3) it doesn't really matter to anyone in charge.

I suggested him back in the summer and was told that we should save the scholarship for a better option. Apparently "no one" was a better option...

No way... if he was coaching, then he'd have to watch every game... no way he could stomach this crap.
