Woodson might do it for the money... no way he does it for "the betterment of IU basketball".

"Getting rid of Matta" was an educated guess on my part... mainly because Woodson did not have the authority/power to dismiss him. But Woodson did choose to kick Fife to the curb... and given his continued arrogance and resistance to the helps that Dolson set up for him, it's not a major leap to see Woodson stonewalling any help that Matta tried to offer... Matta was put in place by Dolson as a help and guard rail for a has-been mediocre coach who had never done the college gig before... Matta got an opportunity to run his own program (vs babysitting Woodson) and took it.

I hate the Super Bowl halftime crap... skip the concert and play the game...

Yep... this is ultimately the problem. Woodson thinks he's the smartest man in the room, despite the fact that he's never been here before, and has (had) no clue what would be required of him to succeed. His arrogance has been showing from day one... and finding a way to get rid of Matta and Fife and keep himself surrounded by his "as mediocre as he is" NBA buddies... including the ever sleeping Armond Hill... and he deserves every bit of grief that he's getting... we need to turn the pressure up and keep it up on Woodson, Dolson, Whitten and Buckner. We just might be able to get all of THEM over the hump.

That situation was completely different. IU had just fallen on it's sword, and in the minds of the Hoosier fans, it was the only move - to move on from the evil Kelvin Sampson and help the Hoosiers rebuild... This time we're dealing with an administration that is bent on keeping a mediocre (at best) coach who played here 40+ years ago. There's no "recovery", and it's all about posturing... I sincerely doubt any attempt at a boycott will work, but where we are now is NOT where we were then. We need to send the message to Dolson, Whitten and Buckner...

Calling for a boycott? Since I don't live anywhere near Bloomington any longer, I haven't attended a game in probably 10 years... but I have stopped wearing my IU shirts, sweatshirts and caps... haven't bought any since Woodson was hired, and won't be buying any more until he's gone.

I am hearing rumblings that the major donors are not happy... so Dolson's job becomes one of balancing Buckner v Whitten in light of the fan's pitchforks and torches and the donors tightening up on their pursestrings... I don't see a way to make them all happy... because Buckner will not back down from protecting his guy... and that's the sickening part - what does Woodson have on him? Buckner is not blind to what's going on... is this the hill that Buckner wants to die on?

And you can bet that it will continue until a change is made... Woodson is not the guy. He's shown that over and over... He doesn't get it... none of the kids today care that he played at IU 40+ years ago, played a bit in the NBA, was a mediocre coach in the NBA 10+ years ago... they see his horrible "style" of basketball and his "stuck in the '80s" schemes, his lack of energy on the recruiting trail... they aren't fans of a coach who makes excuses and throws the team under the bus at every opportunity...

And heaven help us if we win another game in "come back" fashion line the OSU game... there were a lot of folks around here thinking that Woodson had found a way to turn it around. We were a dumpster fire before tOSU, and we're a dumpster fire today... winning a random game or two will not change the fact that we will continue to be a dumpster fire with Woodson as HC.

He has certainly reinforced that opinion of his abilities as HC at Indiana... can't close on enough recruits to build a competitive roster, refuses to adapt his game plan and/or philosophy (if, in fact, he has one) during a game, continues to display an arrogance, and continues to talk about "the hump" and "getting back to work"... what have you been doing the past 2.5 years that's remotely successful, Coach?

Not buying that there was no coach worthy of IU’s consideration between Brad Steven’s and Mike Woodson... Absolutely cannot be true. Dolson dropped the ball and Buckner saw an opening.

It could just be a typo/ formatting error. Replace the period with a colon (0.03 and 0:03) and it’s correct.
