  1. It probably is. It's a question of how our defense looks. I'll revise it based on tonight's game. If we look like Morehead I'll keep this. That defense against an Alcorn State level defense should result in around this. If we don't, then I'll move my prediction of their score up in line with the Alcorn State game since they're pretty much the same team.   Either way, I've never been close to winning, so whatevah!
  2. Out of one of the ten worst teams in the country? Probably.   A Union Army member who ended up becoming the father of education in Southwest Louisiana because he... invented taxes for schools? - 68 A team who even if they have a couple nice wins against cupcakes and are preparing for Notre Dame will leave the starters in until the last minute for some reason - 108
  3. I already blew my Duke facts for the last time we faced them.     They're pretty much statistically Maryland. If Maryland stayed in the ACC, they would have Duke's record and Edsall would still have a job. So, I'll just use that score.   The Best in the West but really 5th best in the East - 47 (what an unlikely score) Did you know the Duke son who established the Duke Endowment had such a vicious tobacco monopoly, farmers united and formed vigilante groups to burn crops and destroy property to force tobacco prices up? They were ultimately successful in that the tobacco monopoly was recognized and broken up shortly after. - 28
  4. You know how sometimes two people don't really like each other and then they hatebang each other and one of them gets preggers and maybe one was kind of an uggo but the baby is still somehow the unholy union of the two of them and maybe it could be cute but ugh, it just has too much of that bad half? - 64 The good parent - 98
  5. Ahem. Who remembers the chat from the Duke game?
  6. I've never been first pick before.   NO ONE COPY MY ANSWERS!!   Also, minutes - turnovers? Awesome.
  7. Is that what it is?   I thought after Maui and Duke, Crean had put his foot so far up the team's collective asses that it's just now starting to emerge.
  8. THAT'S what we're always talking about when we talk about recruiting profiles?!?! Good thing none of my mod roles involve knowing what is going on. I have never seen that feature before in my life.   Thank you though.
  9. Any profiles other than his hudl? I tried looking him up and I'm pretty sure he isn't the guy who left Rutgers twice.
  10. Two-thirds of those pictures could have come from a doctor's waiting room. I hope he does something a little more stimulating during his visit.   I don't want to give Louisville too much credit, but those rooms really could use a stripper or something.
  11. You all heard Ron John, he'll periscope the whole thing for us!
  12. Will survive in Bloomington in case anyone wondered.
  13. There are no bases in football Natty.
  14. I would just like to note we still have no idea if this report is true at all. It's a tweet from one person.   But, unless you're Frank Gore, RBs have a short shelf life, so leaving early is almost always the right move. I think he could move up the boards if he played another year, but I don't know if it financially makes sense. It's still early, so they'll come out with some projections before long and he'll have more opportunities to really assess his value and potential value if he stays or leaves now.   RBs have an average career length of about 4 years. So, staying an extra year may be 25% of his income. If picked rounds 4-7 he can expect a 4 year contract worth approximately $2.5 million. The amount of guaranteed money drops along the way starting at around 500k, 250k, 100k, 60k. Round 3 is worth 3 million, 750K. Round 2, 5-6 million, 2-3 million guaranteed. Round 1, 10-14 million, 10 million guaranteed.   So, if there is any chance of moving into the first two rounds, you stay. Ameer Abdullah with the Lions was not a second round pick before he played an extra year, but he was a talented workhorse. He played another year, dominated, and earned his pay. Moving into Round 3 might be worth it. Moving among the lower rounds isn't.   Is Howard better than Coleman? I don't think so right now. I'm not familiar with all the team's needs, but he isn't a first or second round pick this year. So, the question ends up whether he can become one. He's probably late third at best right now. Moving up in the third is not worth an extra year. How does not playing in the bowl game (if he doesn't) affect his stock? What pieces will be around next year and can the team be better and get more national attention? Are these injuries going to possibly extend to the future and limit his career?   Those are the kinds of questions he has to figure out answers to. That's why I have a lot of trouble believing he has already decided. Positions on the draft board are incredibly fluid this early and there is no way he has enough information to be sure.   If he goes? Good for him, he deserves to get paid. I can't wait to watch him play in the big leagues. If not? Well, I won't complain.
  15. Hoosier bench is scoreboard side of the visitors dugout. Directly in front of the Audi box.
  16. I don't know what everyone is talking about. I see 15 wins next season.
  17. Unlikely. There can be only one.
  18. Remember in another thread where I grew up near Binghamton? I grew up near Cornell too!   If he isn't looking at basketball as a route to the NBA and is instead looking for a free education, that's a great decision. Ithaca is one of the top 5 most beautiful places I've ever been. The people are awesome, the girls are cute and easy, and if you like snow you'll get tons. Plus, ample skiing.   It's the kind of place I would want to have gone to college if I hadn't wanted to get away from home so badly. There were many nights up late drinking after a terrible job hunt where I thought I'd made a mistake going to Indiana for undergrad instead of Cornell.   In retrospect, the mistake was my choice of major, not my choice of university.
  19. Injury prone and from a school not known for football? A Baakle specialty! He will fit in on the Niners. Probably our first round pick.
  20. Coaches at UConn left just before he got there. He almost didn't go but recommitted last minute. Went to Oklahoma state for a preferred walk on spot because he wasn't going to get PT at UConn and might be able to compete into some there. Went to Cisco to try and get some PT somewhere else after Oklahoma wasn't going to play him.
  21. He went to UConn for the year? I thought he decommitted at the very last second and went to Oklahoma state before sitting that year?   His 247 timeline is not helpful except it says he enrolled at UConn in 2013, so you must be right.
  22.   Three? I think? Someone check me on this...   Graduated in 2014. Spent 2014-15 at Oklahoma as a red shirt. Transferred to Cisco. Played 2015-16 season. Transfers to Indiana.   So, he's a red shirt freshman this year and will come to us a red shirt sophomore?
  23. That's a much better way to say it than mine.
  24. I'd say he's a shoe-in, but of course, I haven't seen King play since his high school tapes.    I don't think he would have committed without being the presumptive starter though. He's already left schools for being too far down the depth chart and doesn't have enough eligibility left to dick around.
  25. Yes. Because we still haven't played our last game!!
