Crean's about to leave the program in the same state he found it. If hickoryhoosier is legit then Glass has really let this thing spiral out of control.
-
UNC, Duke, Syracuse, UVA, Louisville, Notre Dame.. Murderer's row every night. I would almost feel bad for the guy.
-
Crean would get eaten alive there. In a better conference at a worse school? Yikes. Oh well, not our problem if he's not here.
-
He's brought the bad programs up and the good programs down, so now we're average across the board. The golden age of IU athletics as Freddie himself called it. L.O.L

Just realized this was the game thread and not the Fire Crean thread so I'm going over there to respond, sorry mods!
-
I don't like Doyel but he was completely on the money with this: "Indiana admitted defeat by declining a home game on national television." Now we see if Glass is okay with defeat or if he does something to change it.
-
Holy, we need someone to come in and rip the mic away from Fred before he can do anymore damage. What is he talking about??? Playing 8 cupcakes at home every year doesn't "devalue" AH? I think now we all see who the real problem with IU basketball is.. And he isn't the one wearing checkered shirts and drinking Diet Coke on game days.
-
Wow Glass really screwed this one up. Apparently he thinks only people from Bloomington go to games?? Lol. I wouldn't want this guy as my lawyer, that's for sure. I never even thought about giving tickets away. He could've packed Assembly Hall against a team that's terrible on the road but instead he gave it up for nothing.

I want to see some first half Priller action. MSB gets buckets every time he's on the court. -
Yup. It's always good to avoid overstaying your welcome. We've welcomed Crean into Hoosier nation and we're thankful for the things he's done but now it's time for him to leave. If he's back next year fans will forget about the good he has done for us and things will get ugly.

I'm worried that's what we'll see from our guys tomorrow. -

I've reserved my seat but I haven't claimed it yet. It depends on what he does these next few weeks.

What was it like during the 14-15 season?
-
Until our men's basketball program improves I couldn't care less what he does with the other sports (besides football). If he can do good things for them then that's great, but it's not going to make up for a mediocre men's basketball program.

The UNC game was awesome. I was so excited for the season when I was walking home from that game... Then everything went downhill lol. I get that the students are rowdy and louder than the rest of the fans, but there have been numerous games this year that the students just haven't shown up for and left huge holes in the student section. I'm not convinced that attendance would've been much worse without students than it would've been with them. Glass has handled this whole situation terribly and it makes me wonder if he even has a plan or if he's winging it all.

41 tweeted that Georgia Tech would've been the 9th best team we've faced at Assembly out of our 20 home games. Sure it's not the game/tournament we all wanted to be playing in, but it's still a solid matchup. The university doesn't have a problem taking people's money to watch us play the Deleware State's of the world over winter break, but hosting an ACC school over spring break would've just been too much.
-
If that's the case then people will be able to connect the two and realize that he cancelled the home game because he's too cowardly to face the consequences of his decisions. People wouldn't forget and would add his name next to Crean's on the firing board. I'm not saying this isn't going to happen, but if it does I expect it to bite Glass in the butt big time.
-
I don't feel personally cheated because I had no plans of going, but theyre cheating the fan base as a whole. Tickets would be cheap and a lot of young kids are on spring break this week. People who normally don't get to watch the Hoosiers in Assembly would have the chance to do so. You and I are mad about this season but an 8 year old kid doesn't care that it's the NIT. Parents would be able to take their kids to a game without spending hundreds of dollars. IU basically told these fans that they're not good enough, they don't want their money, and they would rather not risk looking bad with crappy attendance than let them take in a home game. It was an awful decision by Fred Glass.
-
If they're not going to accept a home game then what's the point of playing in it in the first place. Just end this miserable season already.

Great game on ESPN right now if anyone wants to forget about this dumpster fire for a bit. Cavs/Rockets in the 4th.

We better win this game, and Georgia better lose, so Glass is forced to host a home game after all. I don't like when people try taking the coward's way out. -
Glass isn't doing himself any favors. A month ago we looked crazy for commenting on this thread. Now he's made himself look like an incompetent goof on a national scale.
