I have no doubts that Embiid is a very talented player. I just question whether he'll be able to stay healthy long enough for it to matter. Andrew Bynum, Greg Oden and Yao Ming were all talented big men who just couldn't stay healthy. Embiid has had back and foot injuries, injuries that are especially tough on big guys. I hope I'm wrong and he's able to get healthy and have a great career, but we've seen numerous big guys have their careers ended or negatively altered by injuries.

Honestly he wasn't bad last year the few times he got legitimate, non-mop up, minutes. He can set screens and knock down open shots. Maybe Archie will give him some playing time during the cupcake portion of the schedule to see what he can do.

They've been looking to trade Okafor for over a year now. Maybe they'll get something good in return, but after the way they gave away Noel I'm not too sure. Embiid and Simmons could become a great duo, but I have to see how Simmons actually plays in the NBA first before making any predictions. He showed at LSU that he can put up nice stats without making his team a winner. The four teams at the top of the Eastern Conference all have multiple talented players that we already know can produce at a high level.

What talent do they have that will put them above Boston, Cleveland, Toronto or Washington? Those teams all have established stars. We don't really know what talent Philly has because their players never stay healthy for very long. I can see them developing into a playoff team but that's only if the stars align and all their players pan out. There are a bunch of "ifs" that have to come true for them to become a decent team.

He showed some flashes last year. If he can get in better shape and learn to stay out of foul trouble he should be a dominant force the next few years.

If James comes back I won't be very upset about this. I think Archie could've really helped TB, but I see De'ron rising to the challenge and holding down the paint. The near future is still bright imo and I'm glad TB did this sooner rather than later since now Archie has a better idea about next year's roster.

Philly has some intriguing players but they have stupid management. They tank and stockpile draft picks just to trade away their good players later on. They gave away Nerlens Noel for peanuts and I wouldn't be surprised to see them do the same with some of their other pieces. Their franchise hopes rest on a talented but constantly injured big guy and a guy in Ben Simmons who is probably bolting as soon as he hits free agency.

Crean's like a 7 at the bar that thinks he's a 10. He's above average and has some solid suitors, but he thinks he's too good for them. He holds out for the 10 he thinks he deserves but at the end of the night he goes home alone.

Embiid is talented no doubt, but he has played 31 total games in 3 seasons. Maybe eventually he'll get healthy, but I wouldn't count on it. If all of Philly's pieces come together they might be good one day, but that's unlikely imo.

Crean's just getting out in front of it and saying that he's going to be picky so that way when no one hires him he has an excuse. Glass gave him nine years and countless resources to prove that he could build a consistent winner and he couldn't do it. I think he'll have a hard time finding a more supportive athletic director than Fred Glass.

For me I look at a guy like Noah Vonleh for a comparison. They're both probably stretch 4's. Vonleh has the tools to be a perfect one. He's 6'9, with a 7'4 wingspan. He can shoot the ball pretty well, and he's very athletic, much more athletic than Bryant. He was much better coming out of college than Bryant is right now into and he has struggled so far in his career. I just don't see TB having a career in the NBA, but I could be wrong.

Bryant played like he was a wing last year and dropped weight to be more of a perimeter player. He's gonna have to add a bunch of mass to play in the post in the NBA. He'll never be quick or athletic enough to play on the wing.

Yeah that's what I'm not sure about. I didn't know if they only put them through workouts or if they meet with the players, interview them, etc. as well.

0% chance Bryant stays 40% chance Blackmon stays Those are my completely arbitrary numbers. If Blackmon stays I see Cujo leaving. There won't be time for him next year and we're recruiting some top guards in 2018. The rumors of TB missing classes, him not being at the Hoosier Showcase and Archie not talking about him make me think he has already made his decision. It seems like Blackmon is intrigued by the thought of playing for Archie. I think he wants to play pro ball next year, but I also think he's interested in coming back because of the way Archie would use him.

I don't really think Glass was the one who screwed him over. I think he was in a tough spot and had to make the call. It seemed to me like it was a few disgruntled players who came forward with these allegations to spite him, based on all the players coming out in Wilson's defense after he got fired and speaking out against what the few former players were alleging.
