  1. Dakich's only response is "u have no idea" when people ask legitimate questions. Please enlighten us with your wisdom, Dan. Having an outside group to make sure everything checks out seems like common sense.
  2. I have to try to look past that kind of stuff with celebrities/athletes because a large percentage of them say stupid stuff. There wouldn't be many people to root for or watch if I didn't. Watching LeBron campaign with Hill Dawg was tough for me lol.
  3. LeBron should have five MVPs, imo. He should've won it the year they gave it to D Rose, but that was back when everyone hated him for The Decision. I think that hurt him with the voters. LeBron won't ever win another MVP and I'm fine with that. I still think he should because he's the greatest player in the world, but he doesn't care about the regular season so he's not going to waste his energy putting up MVP numbers. He'll coast through the regular season with 26/8/8 and then kick it up for the playoffs. He already has the MVPs, rings are all that's left for him to be in the goat discussion.
  4. They vote before the playoffs, I think. I remember hearing a couple weeks ago that votes were already submitted.
  5. Harden hit the strip club after last night's game [emoji23]
  6. I largely base my support on a combination of winning and attitude. We didn't win last year, and Bryant's attitude sucked. He behaved like a petulant child on the court. I hope he can be successful wherever he ends up in life, and I hope he fixes his issues, but as an IU player he was a big disappointment this past season.
  7. De'ron's in the gym this morning. I really think he's in for a monster summer.
  8. Should've given him the MVP when he missed 2011 and they went 2-14.
  9. Voter fatigue. Same thing happened to Jordan.
  10. Cujo was in Cook Hall like 10 minutes ago. Looks like he's not transferring.
  11. James Harden with the massive choke job tonight. Yikes.
  12. I'm kind of surprised Bryant weighed that much. I would've guessed him to be around 225-230.
  13. Not to derail the thread anymore, but y'all have to watch Lavar Ball play basketball.
  14. Here's some stuff. Not exactly what we're looking for, but interesting nonetheless. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/sport/2015/nov/30/the-kobe-bryant-outlier-how-his-career-compares-to-the-nba-average https://weaksideawareness.wordpress.com/2011/11/22/average-nba-career-length-for-players-details/
  15. True, I didn't think about that. Takes us back to the "one and done sucks" discussion. Those guys were all instant contributors when they came into the league, thanks in large part to staying in college. Both leagues would be better off if players had to stay in college longer, but I digress lol.
  16. I don't think they are either, I just used them because they were the names that were used.
  17. Haha it's hard to tell these days. Everyone's throwing stuff out there to get clicks in hope that they get something right.
  18. Where did you see that? I've seen some outlets saying they just sold a few hundred the first day. https://www.google.com/amp/www.sbnation.com/platform/amp/nba/2017/5/8/15583706/big-baller-brand-150000-lonzo-ball-shoes https://www.google.com/amp/www.cbssports.com/nba/news/heres-how-many-pairs-of-495-sneakers-lavar-lonzo-ball-reportedly-sold-so-far/amp/
  19. Bird only played 13 seasons. Magic played 12.5. Thomas played 13. Players today are playing longer than that. Vincer Carter just finished season 19. Kobe played 20. Paul Pierced played 19 years. LeBron is on year 14. Kevin Garnett played 21 years.
  20. Revisionist history. 30 years from now people will be saying the same thing about this group of players. It's easy to remember the good times without acknowledging that there were bad ones too.
  21. The shoes really aren't even that cool.. I probably wouldn't wear them if they were free.
  22. Players today take care of their bodies far better than the players of the past. They realize that going full throttle 100% of the time leads to shortened careers.
  23. Draymond was nut punching back in college? I didn't remember that, but I'm not surprised in the slightest.
  24. It's definitely ironic he's the one saying something about it haha.
